Any jury worth anything in the world (or the HISTORY of the world) would have convicted Traitor Trump. I mean, mountains of evidence against him, and only insane cultists for him.

I believe that as a convicted felon he’s not allowed to run for any public office. And yet, people are sending money for his campaign. God help us all!

Yes, there is no law prohibiting a convicted felon from running for President. I imagine as in the past, when there was a bit or a helluva lot more sanity, no one would have thought of running with such a past nor would the public have put up with it, all in all it is a very sad commentary on the disintegration of the American fabric, ripped apart by greed, hate and mass stupidity. I give it 50 years max what with Putin, China and the global weather foobar. Never mind, take a handful of edibles and just zone out, do vote in November though.

Weird, isn’t it? that people who claim to be strong proponents of law and order now reject the rule of law and support and promote a CONVICTED FELON as head of their party. They’ve gone off the deep end and I don’t think they’ll come back.

Hopefully 20 to 24 years on July 11 but, as this was a ‘low grade’ felony, he’ll get any jail time. But it would be hilarious to see his RNC acceptance speech from behind bars, talk about breaking media viewership records.

Voting for a convicted felon is an outrageously insane thing to do. The inmates are going to run the asylum if saner people don’t stop them. We all need to vote blue in all the elections, up and down ballot, to stop the insanity. His backers in Congress are also a danger to our democratic republic.

This week’s trial was nothing more than a lynching, which the democrats have been doing since they started the KKK so they’re very good at it.

“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity”. Martin Luther King, Jr. This nugget of wisdom should be updated to include MAGA idiots that still support Donald “Guilty on all counts” Trump.

YouGov conducted a “snap poll” hours after the verdict announcement to gauge whether Americans agreed with the jury’s decision.

The poll asked, “Donald Trump was recently convicted of 34 charges, including for falsifying business records to reimburse his lawyer for payments made to an adult film actress. Do you agree with the jury that he is guilty of these charges?”

Of the 3,040 U.S. adults surveyed, 50 percent said they believed Trump was guilty, while 30 percent said they believed he was not guilty. Another 19 percent said they were not sure.

The poll found that a plurality of independents, a key group that could determine the outcome of the 2024 election, believed Trump was guilty. Forty-eight percent of independent voters said they believed he was guilty, 25 percent said they believed he was not guilty, and 26 percent said they were not sure.

A plurality of Americans, 47 percent, also believed Trump received a fair trial, the YouGov poll found. The poll found that 37 percent of Americans said he did not receive a fair trial.

^^@FJB: The orange baboon was not “lynched by democrats”. He was convicted by a jury of his peers based on testimony from out of his maggot entourage.

The Constitution states: THE PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT AND ALL CIVIL OFFICERS OF THE UNITED STATES, SHALL BE REMOVED OFFICE ON IMPEACHMENT FOR, AND CONVICTION OF, TREASON, BRIBERY, OR OTHER HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS. (Article II,Section 4 as printed in my copy of said document)We,the people, need an amendment to clarify/include this type of situation from occurring again…..on the upside of that the founding fathers could never have anticipated that an alleged traitor and now convicted felon for bribery would have the cujones to actually run for the highest, most esteemed office in the country…..thank you for reading

The founding fathers couldn’t consider everything. I imagine that if someone had suggested that criminal history be a disqualifying factor for public office, especially the Presidency, the others would have told them that they had things that could actually happen to talk about and that if the people ever were stupid enough to consider electing a convicted felon, all hope was lost anyway.

Donald Trump offered oil executives the reversal of some of President Joe Biden’s climate policies upon the former president’s reelection in exchange for campaign contributions, specifically $1 Biillion dollars.

The chairs of the Senate Finance and Budget committees announced in a joint statement Thursday that they have sent letters to nine oil companies, including ExxonMobile and Chevron, asking for additional information related to a fundraiser event where Trump allegedly sought $1 billion in campaign contributions in return for promises of policy changes to benefit their companies.

That is the “quid pro quo” that is illegal. The way this is supposed to work is that the candidate puts out statements of what he intends to do and people donate based on liking or disliking what he says. It’s a simple rule, and whether the donation is a bribe or not is mostly in the mind of the donor. Trump, instead, announced it at a meeting of oil execs.

I don’t know how the GOP allowed this to happen. They should know campaign rules better than I do. Trump is either too stupid to understand the rules, or he has lived so long with the notion that rules don’t apply to him that he is simply unable to realize that they do. This is why we was guilty of 34 ethical violations, and why he seems to be unable to stop behaving unethically, and worse yet, unable to at least stop doing it on tape.
