Opal is obviously conservative. She just can’t stand to see Earl wearing relaxing clothes. He should be wearing something strait-laced or something only she wants him to dress in. Not his choice of clothes.

That’s going to backfire, Opal. Now he’ll go out in those sweatpants and embarrass you even more.

Looks like Earl’s an innie.

Since there is a high preponderance of comments stating that Opal shrunk Earl’s sweatpants on purpose just to be mean and/or rude, I suggest that from now on, Earl should be in charge of his own clothing. He should do the shopping, washing, drying, and mending. This couple is very much in love with each other, but they have strict roles in what they each consider their chores. I have no idea what Earl does, though. If they start acting like normal people, we won’t have a cartoon to read. It would be very boring.
