Wilberforce â You learn more when you study and confirm. Wright boys owned a bicycle shop and came down here to NC every year to for their flight attempts. Kitty Hawk area is a super nice place to visit. And from there â men flew to the moon.
OOOHH, SO close. The first flight took place in 1903, Mr. R of popcorn fame was born in 1907. Nice try though Brutus. Wilberforce is talking about Oroville and Wilbur Ohio; you know, the Ohio brothers.
The Wright Bros may NOT have been the first in flight. Contrary to popular belief, Americans were NOT the first in everything. Inventing DID exist before the USA was created. LOL
Thatâs not Wright. Perhaps they flew kits together in their youth. And might have dreamed of future, Jiffy-Pop, but decided to stick to the basics. And a lot of marketing.
If Brutus canât keep those two illustrious families straight, next thing we know heâll be confusing the kid even more with the tale of Orville and Wilburâs sister, as per this dialogue from M*A*S*H:
Frank Burns (Larry Linville), on the subject of saving himself for marriage: I was waiting for Miss Right!
BJ (Mike Farrell): Miss Right?
Hawkeye (Alan Alda): Orville and Wilburâs sister â she invented the first airline stewardess.

The Wright Bros may NOT have been the first in flight. Contrary to popular belief, Americans were NOT the first in everything. Inventing DID exist before the USA was created. LOL
âSeveral aviators have been claimed to be the first to fly a powered aeroplane. Much controversy surrounds these claims. It is generally accepted today that the Wright brothers were the first to achieve sustained and controlled powered manned flight, in 1903. It is popularly held in Brazil that their native citizen Alberto Santos-Dumont was the first successful aviator, discounting the Wright brothersâ claim because their Flyer took off from a rail, and in later flights would sometimes employ a catapult. An editorial in the 2013 edition of Janeâs All the Worldâs Aircraft supported the claim of Gustave Whitehead. Claims by, or on behalf of, other pioneers such as ClĂ©ment Ader have also been put forward from time to time. "There is no definitive proof of who was first in flight.
