I know this comment has nothing to do with the comic and I don’t know where to say it but I just have to say it: "The Internet has gone way overboard with its advertising, as has the Comics page and everyone else, but so many ads – many of which pop up keeping you from reading what you are trying to read. I miss the newspaper days, man – seriously! There – thanks – that is my ‘great truth’ for the day!
I was recently diagnosed with depression. I’m on meds (& they’re finally working), but want to see a counselor. I’m having a very beans of a time finding one; I’ve put out emails to a couple & haven’t heard back.
Here’s the GREATEST truth. God loved mankind so much, he sacrificed His only Son for us, so that we can be in Heaven with Him for eternity if we believe and accept that FACT.
Many, many years ago I almost swallowed a boxelder bug (or Asian beetle, can’t remember which, our old farm house was overrun with both) that had gotten in my bedside glass of water in the middle of the night. Ever since I’ve drank from a covered glass or bottle with a nozzle or nipple or whatever it’s called. Fool me once…
One night my wife awoke hungry, and recalled some cookies in a cupboard near the bed. She left the light off, as I was asleep, and was chewing for a few seconds before she noticed a bitter taste, and tingling on her fingers and cheeks. The cookies, and now her mouth, face and fingers were crawling with countless tiny ants.
Actually, that’s good advice. I got a drink of water in the dark one night. An earwig was on the rim and latched onto my lip. I still shudder when I think about it.

When I wake up in the middle of the night I usually have the need to relieve myself of water rather than drink more.

I don’t know when this comic was first written. What’s today’s equivalent of that year’s US 5¢?

Usually when I wake up in the middle of the night, it’s either because I’m really thirsty or have to go pretty bad.

I’ve always one this. I may be paranoid but that doesn’t mean there ISN’T a bug in my glass.

I think that Lucy providing psychiatric advice is like the “blind leading the blind”. Don’t listen to her, Charlie Brown. Follow your own path.

Or keep a bottle of water by your bedside, or a lidded drinking container
