I’m just happy that at least some creators are as sick of that as any normal person.

Honestly, I advocate for beating up people with lead pipes for talking about their politics without anyone asking them to. Vote, and shut up!

I believe in the Holy Bible and the US Constitution.AS written, literally, word for word. I have sworn to protect and defend them both, from all enemies, foreign and domestic, as long as I draw breath.

Today is the time to hold tight to your family and friends, your belief that all are worthy of a good life, your belief in the US Constitution, and in the one nation that continues to be a beacon to many in the world.

Is it perfect? Certainly not, but most citizens are working to make it so for everyone everyday. No place does it better.

America did not start off as a black and white thinking country, and I believe that we can return to sanity and working together. In my personal observations, the problems really started when people started getting their political information from people who specialized in “infotainment” where the more outraged you got your audience, they more they tuned in to hear you, and therefore the more your advertising was worth.

Wake up America and be willing to listen to other people’s opinions.

Manichaeism.

I’ve always riled against "binary thinking:’ zero – one, off – on, black – white, for me or against me.

Binary thinking is usually accompanied with the belief that everything is a zero sum game. The only way you can win is to make me lose. The only way you can gain a right is to take it away from me. The only way you can gain anything is to STEAL it from me. I don’t like losing and I don’t like my things being stolen so I must demonize or dehumanize you to keep this from happening.

conservative thinking has been the enemy of the U.S. since 1774.

I call it binary boneheadedness.

Of note here is that the conclusion of the cartoon is black-and-white thinking. Well done Mastroianni and Hart!

Binary thinking excludes the basic principles of democracy.

There should be more black and white thinking. Too often the shades of grey cloud what is really right. Throwing in crap for a murder, just to keep them from being executed is wrong. They should be executed. Allowing a party to tell lies and having the media treat it as gospel is wrong. But it isn’t American Politics, it’s liberalism at its worst.

A good many of the comments here make me think of the old saying, “Don’t confuse me with facts – I’ve already made up my mind.”

Too many people who see things in black and white aren’t actually bothering to think.

(Hey, I did that without betraying any political bias!)

Because after all, there are only two possible positions that can be held on any subject you can possibly name.
