The girl is so subtle.
The teacher wonders if she should just retire early.
Are the teachers as dumb as phony custodian?
Unless someone can come up with a better example, I think this storyline is the most silly of any storyline in this strip’s history—followed closely by Peppermint Patty going to obedience school.
Patty found her calling. Give her a gold star for dedication to her work.
And a hearty thanks for custodians, janitors, garbage men, and all other workers who do the unpleasant job of cleaning up after others.
Raise THOSE wages.
Peppermint Patty is still looking for the box of gold stars.
PP was singing about Charles Schulz city of birth.
Boy, she really chokes up on the ol’ broom handle.
Oh, excellent disguise, lol!
Ah yes, the Tale of Twin Cities
And yet, everyone is fooled by that disguise.
I’m with the teacher on this. If you sing while you work, don’t.
Eat your ❤️ out, Taylor Swift.
You can drop the act, kid. She knows it’s you!
What tune is that song sung too?
No one will see through her disguise.
Panel 3 – the classic nostril view, ha
I get the feeling she’s speaking with a fake Swedish accent;
She’s sweeping up an awful lot of dust. Maybe they should hire her as a custodian.
No reason to suspect anything’s amiss when you see a 3 ft tall janitor with an obviously fake moustache
ROFLOL!! 5 stars to each panel. My new favorite song.
Love how she’s kicking up dust while wearing sandals
Shouldn’t her height give her away as being only a kid?
She’s a natural, no one will suspect a thing!
You heard about the singing brakeman. You might have seen a singing cowboy, too!
I’m Joe the singing janitor! I’m at a theater near you!
I’ll also be appearing at the concerts you’ll be hearing, but I won’t be singing with the band!
I’m Joe the singing janitor!
Cleanin’ up for the folks & gettin’ by the best I can!
Either the teacher is incredibly blind or has a great sense of humor
I’m waiting for the chimney sweeps to jump out and sing the chorus ! ;-)
When I was a kid I read this comic and wanted to sing this song, but I didn’t know the tune.
I missed this one the first time around!
Whenever I’m working on something, I’ll sing or hum.
Patty good luck with finding the gold stars
If you imagine her speaking in a Swedish accent, it makes a little sense.
close call
At least (s)he’s not whistling!
