We found one similar, on the side of the road. Semi round top that was hinged. Unfortunately it had been damaged previously and whoever “fixed” it did not do even a decent job. I believe my Wife gave it to a friend of hers.

Unfortunately it was an Antique Heppelwhite worth 10 grand. But a bon fire is nice too. And The Feral One is enjoying this way too much.

Roadkill furniture is sometimes good for outside uses. My cats like an occasional coffee table to eat on and I have an old cabinet in the shop. :) They can last about a year or so, but some sturdy built stuff is good for years.

Sterling …actually got to burn something. It’s strangely wholesome.

I married into a family who believes it is a sacred duty to take anything offered for free. My wife has the additional belief you must buy something nice on a terrific sale, even if you don’t need it. Gawd forbid you should let someone else “win” my buying it instead of you.
