Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
We’ve all heard the saying, “Never give a mouse a cookie”. Well it was derived from the lesser known saying “Never give a jolly man a bottle of good scotch”.
Feet are hard to draw (so are hands). Santa’s feet are strikingly good, esp. because they differ from each other. Man, what a good cartoon! Funny and good!
I spent Christmas Day finishing up our Christmas decorations (Chanukah is just my menorah – but that was a separate problem this year).
For some reason we got a late start a few days before Christmas and started with what is the usually last – the main tree in the living room. Normally I do the main tree and 2 of the other trees together as their ornaments are stored together, but this year (and last) husband has bee helping me so the order and positioning of everything is all confused. There is a further problem the past 3 Christmases as husband bought a smallish big screen. This resulted in a reversal of things in our living room – which was careful discussed and researched before he bought he bought the TV. We did not take into account that before we had two “fronts” to the tree – one facing into the living room and one facing the archway entry from the front door. So there is a lack of space showing for ornaments which are to be featured – plus for the past 3 years he has helped me decorate the tree so between the two the ornaments are in random positioning which may or may or not work.
At the same time we do the main tree we also do the small tree in our studio which only has items crafted by us – some are put on the main tree, others on this tree.
I then did our dining room tree. Room is done as an 18th tavern room and should not have tree, but we get annual ornaments from Colonial Williamsburg so we have a tree for same here (with 2 duplicate ornaments going on the main tree).
Plus there are the assorted decorations – toys, figurines, mangers, etc that go out in these rooms.

Ernest Saves Christmas begins with a montage of older St. Nicks which reminded me of JJ’s depiction.
