I’m completely lost. I know he has been writing this for many years but I joined just a few years ago and I’m lost. Why can’t there be written explanations of what lead to his or what has gone on?

A fear I’m having now is, today’s politics may be altering Aaron’s story line.

Or maybe just us. I suppose electing a fascist president could have been seen coming at least eight years ago.

At any rate, using the F word (fascist), it looks like Endtown is going to become a commentary on contemporary politics.

Whether Aaron likes it or not

This guy didn’t see the “martyr” shot, either. Did it happen?

Looks like we’re about to see how the rats do work, and it won’t be pleasant. I’m guessing we’re going to get into the consequences of artificial people.

Sigh.. another one. Look, we will just have to wait a year or three to find out what happened with Wally and maybe the folks in the boats.

We arrive some time after Walt’s death

If he didn’t see anything, then who is he to judge what happened?

For those who might want a quick refresh reading: The Pork Conspiracy starts—01/02/2017. Or jump to the rats’ mission statement “We are security”—04/05/2018 ; Mavis’s description of how the wolves became patsies “a hated, stigmatized subclass”—05/28/2018; and finally, Grout’s (I like this character) dark forecast “justice has become a deadly poison here”—08/31/2018 . Highly recommend reading all the way through, though. In my opinion, some wonderful storytelling. Also note that what we see happening now was foreshadowed years ago.

Ignore the rabble rouser. See to your partner. But keep your weapon handy. 43 years still manning the line.

Welllll I’m going to hope that Neathery isn’t about to take this storyline in the direction I instinctively feared it might go in, he’s a bit of a pessimist but he’s never seemed to be anything worse than that. While the clear jab at antifascism makes me cringe, I suppose the rats aren’t technically cops, and due to their conspicuous same-species nature they may not even have elected to take up their jobs in the first place. They’ve always been jokes before, so taking time to humanize them is a nice new plot thread. All that said, I still can’t help but miss when Endtown was more of a story about surviving, than a story about dying. Perhaps it’s just not a comic for me anymore, but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

How amusing , to see that New-Newspeak says ‘competent’ and means ‘MAGA sycophant’.
