My favorite character (yes, he even beats Wiley bears!), Capā€™n Eddie can always make me smile. And was actually rooting for more detailsā€¦..

Wait a sec, did they share the theory of gravity or the practical joke of dropping an apple on somebodyā€™s head?

Imagine a universe without mass. There would be no gravity. It would be all energy and expand very fast. Without mass time is infinitely fast. Let that sink in, man.

Here, try the consumables. In twenty minutes it will all make senseā€¦

Until the last panel, I was thinking this was Danae giving a science report in school.

It might take a while, but eventually some genius will develop gravity bombs.

According to Stargate, these guys were the Norse gods. They presented themselves to a primitive civilization in a form the humans could relate to, until hey advanced enough to accept their true self. Iā€™m a Christian but I sometimes play with the idea that maybe our God is something like thatā€¦and weā€™ll find out if we ever mature enough (which includes NOT tribalizing but learning to work together).

Millions of people over thousands of years had seen all kinds of fruits falling from trees. Newton was the first to ask why.

Later that day, Ike was sitting under a Fig tree and he came up with the idea that became, what we call today, the Fig Newton

This has been another, Fractured Fairytale.

Mass stops you from attaining the speed of light, dark energy has no mass and scientists think it is the cause of the accelerated expansion of the universe.

Ironically (if it is ironic, Iā€™m not sure) in Newtonā€™s day, invent meant pretty much the same thing as our discover.

Considering some of the ā€˜theoriesā€™ Iā€™ve heard about gravity over the years, this oneā€™s at least a bit more hilariousā€¦

Yet another take on the old saw about extra-terrestrials leading mankind to discover things, or doing ā€˜itā€™ for us, because we couldnā€™t be bright enough (or have enough ingenuity) to do it ourselves. In fact, humans can do anything they put their minds to. And the end of the comment goes"gravity wasnā€™t discovered, it was always there". A bit like Australia.
