You know how salad turns brown and slimey in its bag? Cookies don’t do that. Just say’n!

Don’t even try any more, just get the scissors out.

Every package is like that! And my hands are pained with arthritis to boot. The big salad bag at Safeway has a blue “convenience” tape for closing the bag. The tape covers the barcode making self checkout a pain. That tape is hard to peel off so you can scan the barcode.

OK, now get off my lawn…..

Even worse are those bags that come with those Ziploc-type “self-sealing” plastic strips. They rarely work, and if they do work, it’s only once or twice.

We have scissors in the kitchen, and I carry a swiss army knife for my lunch… It’s the only way…!

We probably could if we spent $250B on it. Scissors are cheaper.

Why is a plugger trying to get into a bag of salad? Doesn’t he realize there’s nothing but salad inside?

the ones that irk me are the ones with ziplock type tops for re-sealing, but after you rip the top band off there isn’t enough plastic left for your fingers to open the bag

This Plugger wants to know why resealable bags that cheese and other things come in don’t reseal. Reseal strip goes to one side so it can’t seal. Have to use clothes pin or metal clip to shut bag.

I tear at the “Tear Here” point and still end up 3/16" above the bottom of the sealed portion and the ziplock reclosure.

“Fresh Express” should mean easy peasy.

What are worse are those individual ‘ultra tab’ plastic pill containers that you either tear the foil back off or press on the plastic to push the pill through the foil. Worse because you seldom have a scissors or knife handy when you need to get to the pill inside.

I prefer to play with large knives to ‘process’ most vegetables.

Beats me. I just use the scissors and cut off the top. Then, if there is anything left in the bag, I fold it over and keep shut with an elastic band.

In that regard, I’m definitely a plugger, but I keep a scissors handy.

I’d be in the same situation, but not if it contained kale. I wouldn’t even touch the bag then.

That is me, so I have sissors.

So true. I just automatically reach for the scissors and cut them.

gotta get in yer exercise somehow!

I ignore tear strips and zip locks. I just chop the top off with the handiest sharp object and reclose it with a chip clip.
