Aircraft runway noise is a soothing lullaby in comparison to their backseat gossip.

Worse than being in hell.

I’ve made comment about my wife’s incessant talking before. One day we were on a somewhat lengthy trip in the car and she was driving and chattering away.

I decided to do an experiment. I put both feet flat on the floor. Put my hands on my knees. Sat up and looked straight ahead and remained totally quiet. She kept on talking for 30 more minutes without so much as an “uh-huh” from me.

I told her, “I could have died over here and you would not have noticed.”

Sometimes my wife will get on the phone while we’re driving and talk the whole time. I’ll be wishing it had ear buds or something.

Is there a Wide Load placard on that car?

They are ticketed on a freighter and he’s got a poker game lined up for tonight.

Smart man! Always good to be prepared.

He must have told them that wearing headphones helps him concentrate on his driving — and they bought it.

I’ve always loved this comic, but when I was younger I did not notice how often his “jokes” came at the expense of women.

I’m pretty sure wearing those while driving would get you a ticket.
