AnnâŠepic EPIC fail!!!
DaJellyBelly almost 13 years ago
PS: I was close. Last week I said that Oxâs dad was a lawyer. It turns out itâs his uncle. Uncleâs going to contact WWâs management and spill the beans about Ms Awfulâs attempts to have his nephew commit perjury.

Epic Fail for sure!!!!!!!! Ox seems like he has his head on straights. Heâs an honest guy, not willing to bend even tho she seemed pretty to him. I think thatâs awesome!!!!!

She doesnât look all that concerned in the last panel.

Think WW might be looking for a new manager soon?
ZacBSM almost 13 years ago
Somebody in here did say he might just go to BURGERBOX and eat there if Ann threaten to deny him privileges to eat at WW. Is it a coincidence that that somebody picked the name âBurgerboxâ or was it mentioned in a passing in old strips?Yup, the manager at BB will be much nicer and non-threatening!

Now Ox has a witness to the lies A.E. has caused. Maybe we should not judge Ox or TJ so fast. If Ox does go to his uncle, I bet that Ann will get fired, TJ would have completed his task there, and quit, and Brad and Toni will celebrate. For all I know, W.W may have to close down, and sue Ann for liability issues. WE WILL FIND OUT LATER.

Oxford is a true hero, self-effacing, quiet, but strong and righteous. Oxâs uncle, the lawyer, may also help to bury Ann Eiffelâs short but disastrous WeenieWorld career. Huzzah for the Quiet Ox! Go, Ox!

Iâm with You on THIS one.
Sure I hope Ann gets what she âdeservesâ but Iâd hate to see her leave the strip for good.

I once had a boss like Ann, pretty, cruel, managed emotionally, cussed at us in front of customers, manipulated us every chance she got. It was VERY satisfying to see an âout of businessâ sign on the door 9 months after I and 5 other people quit.
ewalnut almost 13 years ago
Maybe TJ will be the new manager soon.
ACTIVIST1234 almost 13 years ago
Ok, the sides are drawn. The stars are aligned. TJ warned Ox not to sign anything so Ox knows heâs a friend. But Annâs got another scheme brewing.Unfortunately for her, when she tries to sue BOTH Shannon for the bite and Ox for stealing her paper, TJ will refuse to testify on her behalf.Poor Ann. I always root for the underdog.
Chuck373 almost 13 years ago
I think that she knows that her expectations of winning the lawsuit are long gone and now it will be a struggle to merely keep her job.
Fan oâ Lio. almost 13 years ago
Greg is the real hero here. He is a master of making the villain bad, badder, baddest, and stretching it out for suspense, before bringing him crashing down, humiliated, to the thunderous cheers and applause of the audience.

I hear Wienie World is looking for a new manager.
Fan oâ Lio. almost 13 years ago
My previous post:âOutsmarted by the dimmest bulb in the chandelier.âWas meant to be a sarcastic jab at Ann, not at Oxâs mental capacity. (Never use sarcasm unless it is painfully obvious as such).
CrypticWizard almost 13 years ago
If Oxâs uncle DOES contact WW higher-ups, Ann will be lucky if the let her empty their trash bins!
Dragoncat almost 13 years ago
Oxford may not be a certified genius, but who says he HAS to be?Heâs a simple man with simple pleasures. He knows how to stand up for himself, and at the same time, he knows that he can always turn to his family when the situation calls for it.

Dragoncat almost 13 years ago
Boy, when the higher-ups hear about thisâŠIf she hurries, she could still flee the country before that happens. Come to think of it⊠will Japan want her back?
JimT8 almost 13 years ago
Aside from the fact that offering the paper to Ox for him to sign was incriminating in itself, the fact that she did give it to him for that purpose gave him the right to hold onto it for his consideration. There is no way she could sue him for going away withit.
Gerry Lee almost 13 years ago
Great, now Ox is forcibly stealing Annâs property by virtue of his size and strength, but itâs okay because no one likes Ann. This whole Ann arc has really showed TJ, Toni, Brad, and Ox arenât any better than Ann is.
Airman almost 13 years ago
I like Knute. Heâs a true cartoon character, as is Tiffany. All these attacks on my man remind me of that old song from the late 50s performed by the Coasters. âCharlie Brownâ. Charlie sings, âwhy is everybody always pickinâ on me?â
jribbing almost 13 years ago
TJâs in line to be the new manager of WW!
Popeyesforearm almost 13 years ago
can you spell âfiredâ Ann?
Dragoncat almost 13 years ago
Actually, Ann did fire TJ earlier. But before he left, he showed her the sales record which proved that (as promised) he DID double sales compared to other employees. It would have looked bad on Ann to fire the best employee, so she had to let him come back.Unless someone who can actually up-sell better than TJ comes along, heâs not going anywhere⊠unless he wants to.

Airman almost 13 years ago
That was a very funny litany, not original, but funny and I liked itâŠ.but then I like Knute, too. What can I say?
JimT8 almost 13 years ago
Just be sure you never go to the circus, Leviticus. The clowns there would be lost on you. And the court fools of the Renaissance era were highly intelligent, as it happens. Knute is a clown and not as dumb as he pretends. he also has a sense of humor.
falcon_370f almost 13 years ago
I have a feeling that Ann Eiffel is going to end up in the Defendantâs Chair.
tigre1 almost 13 years ago
Somehow her only move is to aim to turn the fault on her ace up-seller. It wonât work, though, itâs only the required squirming of the evil worm on the hook of truth. Etc. I like melodrama. Thatâs how you handle âbattlesâ in comedy. It turns on Italian comedyâŠmistaken identity, in this case. âI, madam, who you thought to be a fool and easily your tool, am actually an ethical moderately intelligent person with a powerful attorney( or âkingâ) as my Uncle/FAther/Big BrotherâŠetc. My Daddy can beat you up"âŠthat kind of comedy.
Itâs a pattern. Nice adaptation, too. Wish Iâd thought of it. Donât worry, I will some day when you have all forgotten where I might have gotten it from.

When has Knute cheated? Tiffany, yes â but I canât recall that he ever cared enough about his grades to bother..Also, âparasiteâ is a bit harsh. Câmon- any teenager without a job is a parasite.
krelboyne almost 13 years ago
The statement Anne had is only false if Ox signs it because he didnt witness the event although at one point he tells Anne he might have. It would not have been false if TJ had signed it because he did witness Shannon bite Anne. The statement apparrently does not have a name on it since she asked both Ox and TJ to sign.
I might give someone a copy of my will and ask them to sign their name to it as a witness.
serenasakitty almost 13 years ago
Does this mean that he is your favorite character?
mojitobaby almost 13 years ago
Thatâs not exactly an apt analogy, since in no instance I can think of would you ever give someone a copy of your will and ask them to sign their name to it. .If your CPA presented you with a tax return that grossly misrepresented what you actually owed to the IRS and tried to get you to sign it, suggesting that you could split the inflated refund, wouldnât you try to take it so that youâd have proof of his dishonesty and his attempt to coerce you into making a false statement? .Itâs actually your civic duty to report fraudulent activity â and fraud is what Ann is committing by insisting Ox sign that false witness statement. Donât be distracted by the fact that heâs bigger and was able to use it to his advantage â depriving Ann of a fraudulent instrument isnât something anyone would press charges on. If someone has prepared a legal instrument that contains a false statement and is trying to persuade or coerce you to sign your name to it, youâd be a damn fool not to take it from them, by any means possible short of battery or breaking and entering. .Oxâs uncle, btw, had better not be so dismissive. As an officer of the court, he has legal responsibility to report Annâs attempt to commit fraud, especially if her attorney has drawn up the statement for Oxâs signature. (Yeah, I know it didnât happen, in the Luanniverse Ann can produce legal documents out of nowhere). The statement could be used to build a case for fraud, suborning perjury or other criminal charges, and certainly could be used to demonstrate proof of mens rea, deliberate intent to deceive. .At the very least, Toni could use it to prove that Ann has violated the âdoctrine of clean handsâ â in other words, she has acted unethically or in bad faith in bringing her complaint.
Tracy King almost 13 years ago
Realizing she was screwed, Ann thought to herself âI wonder if BurgerBox needs a cashier?â
lilrabbit almost 13 years ago
Leviticus, Your discription of Knute as a parisite is dead on. There are a number of jobs that require neither intellectual capacity, nor honesty nor even a work ethic, yet would allow him to support Crystal in the style to which she wishes to become accustomed.
Knute is perfectly suited to run a hedge fund or manage a private equity firm for example.

Love watching this sorry excuse for a store manager get whatâs due her.
We met our own Ann Awful last weekend â at a local Great Indoors store. Wouldnât allow her employee to put an expensive rug âon holdâ for 1 day until we could get there (an hour away from our home).
