Okay, so today is basically a rehash of the Jan. 29, 2024 strip, only this time Dinkelberg appears to be actually giving them away, not charging for them.
Actually, if these are the kind of books that are going to be immolated In “The Burnings,” I’m all for it.
Welcome to Day One of Batyuk’s latest prestige arc, “The Burnings.” An ultra-serious storyline that will spark discussions on freedom of expression and the role of literature in society. But first, a joke! A joke that Batyuk has run into the ground.
Some commenters inquired if Dinkle would appear in “The Burnings.” The answer is an emphatic YES! On Day One! I guess Batyuk wanted to get the Dinkle fans(?) invested in the story early.
His first book was all about his life. This is about his retirement. WHO would actually READ it? A retired band leader who directs church choirs and an Old Folk’s Home band. Riveting.
Oh, goody. The least interesting and least funny character in the history of comic strips is back. And that includes the cat from Mutts with the speech impediment.

I’m not a spiritual man but suddenly I hope blasphemy is, in fact, real and punished by eternal perdition. Burn, Harry, burn forever.

Well of course they are, at least in the good old U.S. of A. these days, because they sure aren’t about God any longer.

An autobiography don’t need to be that long. I wouldn’t think so.
