    Good morning™, Duh Moments !

Don’t fault the kid for not knowing the history of explosive compositions but he wasn’t in the war like, Tracy was. P.1. perspective really shows the enormity of that building.

    Good morning™, everyone!

    From dicktracy .fandom .com /wiki /Pruneface#The_Xylon_Plot :

“… Sometime after this, Dick Tracy revealed to Wendy Wichel the untold facts about the recently declassified Xylon incident which involved Pruneface heading an espionage ring determined to steal the Xylon explosive formula developed by Professor Roloc Bard. After getting the formula and the Professor with aid from the treacherous Flattop Jones Sr., Pruneface planted the bombs in key locations including FBI headquarters and the police station….”

@LawrenceS—-Now you know why the bomb squad couldn’t find any evidence of there being a bomb. They didn’t know it even existed, so didn’t look for that no longer made type of WWII explosive.

In the real world, according to WIKI, xylon could be either a tree cultivated for its cottonlike seed fibre, particularly in south-east Asia, and is also known as the Java cotton, Java kapok, silk-cotton or samauma or it is the compound drug Hydrocodone/ibuprofen used for severe pain relief.

Oh, come on! An explosive invented in the 1940s, has been known about for 80 years and a “bomb expert” asks “Xylon? What’s Xylon?”

(“Oh, a powerful explosive that’s been around for decades and was so important the Nazis killed to try and get the formula. You’ve never heard of it? You’d think after all this time it would be on the standard list of explosives to check for.”)

The stuff has the power of tons of TNT? On sheer volume you’d think a bomb expert would have wondered, “Hey, what’s all this stuff?” Or, if it is so powerful that a piece of Xylon the size of a deck of cards has the power of tons of TNT a bomb expert would have heard of it.

This guy is no bomb expert. He was hired because mommy is the governor’s sister.

Good look in the last panel of a guy who is totally lost at the reference – good use of opaque glasses to give that feeling!

I thought Tracy meant Zyklon B, a poison used by Nazis in their death camps.

Laminectomy went well yesterday. We were home before dinner. Versad prior to anesthesia is the way to go. Gives one the munchies. Shout out to Dr. Witte and his compassionate, professional team at Missoula Bone & Joint in Missoula, Montana. Pain this am is minimal. Just no bending, twisting, lifting for several weeks. Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday. God is good!

    BY GOD<I CALLED IT!!

I had Xylon pegged as the boom juice last month—-the good news is that it evaporates and becomes harmless after a few hours.

The bad news is it’s many times more powerful than traditional explosives/

The puzzling news is how Junior got hold of the formula, as Profesor Roloc Bard(after being kidnapped by Pruneface) judged the discovery to be too dangerous and never revealed the formula

1- LEE: What exactly did we get out of this visit to the TOTTEN ORGANIZATION? DT: We learned that Fred Jr went to Stockholm without us having to do any kind of research, and that he had a friend there, and that he, like millions of Americans, has a great interest in his family history! SAM: DUN DUN DUNNNNN!

2- DT: Don’t do that, Sam. Hello? Statie Guy? When you were at the Two Foxes Clock Tower, did you test for an obscure, ancient explosive called Xylon? And did you happen to notice a big metal box with lots of wiring in it that looked like a bomb?

3 – STATIE GUY: What’s the Two Foxes Clock Tower? DT: Never mind. click Sam – get to the TFCT and look for bombs. My Tracy Sense is tingling! SAM: That’s just your cell phone buzzing. Anyway, why can’t Lizzo do it?

DT: BECAUSE! I’m liberally interpreting the new edict to keep women from combat roles! SAM: OMMMMMMM! YOU SAID LIBERAL! DT: How would you like to be reassigned to the K-9 unit, Sam? AS THE FRICKIN’ DOG?!?! SAM: I’m going, I’m going! (right after lunch!)

For those of you worried that I hurt little Ray Ray’s feelings yesterday with my joke about his dead movie career, I suggest you read what he posted yesterday.

As I said, he can take it. he’s a big boy, despite what his co-stars said during his frightening nude scenes! LOL!

When I saw “Xylon” I thought, who remembers that? If I remember, it’s some sort of chemical explosive, that’s made from wood.
