A lot of things work sort of like that. And a lot more SEEM to work like that until, because untended, they head south at a very rapid rate. Tire pressure is like that. And so are friendships.

Several Ukrainians are saying We tried that with Putin. It didn’t work!

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it works for now.

Sometimes nothing (you do or don’t do) seems to work (or help).

There are good bees and bad wasps. Learn to tell the difference.

If you’ve ever had to work in the Northern Ontario bush, you will love bees. They are about the only thing you will see with wings that isn’t after your blood.

Ok, who is that talking to the kid; and what have they done with Frazz? … or maybe it’s Mallett that has been snatched.

It couldn’t be a left handed nod to the Ukrainian place in the finals could it?

No sadly the world won’t. here are too many criminals, gang members, and mentally disturbed people as shown by recent events. The problem is not the tools they use. Timothy McVey used fertilizer and diesel fuel. A man in France killed 80 with a truck.

One problem is Mental Health Laws. If you get sick with the flu or cancer – Oh are you ok now? Let me know if you need anything. No job application asks if you have been sick. BUT if you are depressed or anxious or the like, and you see a psychiatrist, woe to you. You will be shunned. It will follow you the rest of your life like the chains on Jacob Marley. Job applications and a lot else ask if you have ever had mental problems. Apply for a job and you will likely never get a chance to explain. If you do, you likely will not be hired anyway.

Another aspect is you cannot force an adult to seek mental health care. If you try you could be arrested for kidnapping. We need to change the laws on mental health and we ALL need to change the way we see treatment of mental health so that people are willing to get it when they need it.

Criminal laws – Lock them up and keep them there for a long while. The NYC Subway shooter had 19 arrests and 2 open cases but they let him out on $1 DOLLAR BAIL – ONE DOLLAR so he could go shoot up the subway. Again proof background checks won’t stop criminals, he could not legally have a gun. But then again, criminals don’t follow the law do they?

We need to find a way to get weapons of all kinds out of the hands of criminals and mentally disturbed people without infringing on the rights of law abiding citizens and get the disturbed the help they need and keep criminals in jail where they have proven they belong.

Quite often, the whole world will leave you alone in spite of your best efforts to have it otherwise.

Unfortunately, no, it’s not. There are lots of people who’s purpose in life seems to be controlling yours.

Most of the world is like that. But there are exceptions. Mosquitos and ticks and horseflies will seek you out.

Sadly, young person, I have to say no to that. Would it were that easy. The world has become MacBeth’s witches’ cauldron and is forever fomenting new brews.

A pity this one didn’t come out a few days ago. Could’ve been of use to the woman in Yellowstone who decided to approach a bison and ended up gored and thrown ten feet in the air.

The ignoring thing works for insects, not so much for humans. The western allies found this out in the 1930’s thru the 1940’s when they ignored and placated Hitler and Mussolini and Japan. Now they are doing a repeat of history with Putin.

If a bee is bothering you, and you can walk by a tree, that usually distracts them enough to leave you alone

If a bee is in fact pestering you she has a reason. You may be wearing something that attracts her. And bees will warn you to stay away from their hive or nest. Frazz should probably take a look around the area.
