Reminds me of when my grandmother found the snakes my brother and I caught. Who knew they could shimmy up out the top of a milk carton and find their way to my Grandparents bedroom? LOL. Grandma wasn’t scared of snakes, but she didn’t want them in her house either. ;)
I was hiking in the woods once and saw a snake, but it turned it to be a stick. Unfortunately, the stick I picked up to hit it with turned out to be a snake.
One time my husband & I saw a couple of little boys (about 10 or 11 years old) playing near our car. We went out to see what was going on, hoping they weren’t messing with our car; but if they weren’t saw no reason why they couldn’t stick around. We asked them, nicely, what’s up? They told us that they were looking for snakes & had already found one. They opened their box & pulled out a little green snake. They held it out to me to see my reaction…and stood with mouths open as I took the snake, scritched its little head & had it slither through my fingers (I’ve always had a way with critters). I guess they were a little disappointed that I didn’t get all girly & goosey about the snake. LOL
Again with the copy and paste. I think the sundays are the days when he gives the most effort. I still like the strip, I just think that he might lose followers of the strip if he keeps doing little artwork.
Speaking of toy snakes, I just put one on top of the porch light to keep the robins from building a nest there. Sometimes the robins do battle with the snake and knock him down, but he always climbs back up.

First, the mice, then the spiders and now a snake. Jon should maybe call an inspector.

He did however find a live snake and leave it in your home as a trap.

How do snakes end up in the house anyway?

I would have liked to have seen the look on Jon’s face instead of Garfield not reacting.

Our cats played with real snakes, luckily little harmless ones. Luckily for the cats, I mean, not the poor snakes.

Based on Jon’s squealing I’d say he’s probably dealing with a garden snake

We’ve never had snakes get in the house, but we have had a problem with mice and ants in the house before.

Jon needs a time machine so he can bring Jane of the BC strip to his house. She would take care of that snake in short order.

Uh, Garfield? You MIGHT want to help deal with that snake, before it goes after the mice…
