    True!

    – Well, the reason being is that all some people think the District is, is the White House and the Capitol. So apart from that, there’s “no room” in anyone else’s minds for anything else! Same way some people think that as soon as you are in LA, you’ll be next to entertainment stars right off the bat, or in Dallas, you’ll all of a sudden be riding a horse, and tending to a longhorn steer…..

I still can’t figure out why shopping on the internet beats out going to the mall when you can have it RIGHT NOW! at the mall rather than wait for Amazon to get their finger out.

I couldn’t use the ‘reply’ function to respond to ReallyBad2’s comment about cartoonists not being able to do much with minority characters.(Half the time when I try to use the ‘reply’ function, I get a box that doesn’t let me type anything or submit anything.)-I’d suggest that ReallyBad2 and others who think cartoonists can’t do much with ‘minority’ characters take a look at strips like Morrie Turner’s Wee Pals, Herb Cantu’s Baldo and Stephen Bentley’s Herb and Jamaal.-And bear in mind that some people called ‘minorities’ in the US are among the fastest growing demographics.

True. Both, were “Patricia.” But the senior Ms. Nixon was always “Pat.” The junior was always “Tricia.” Neither were “Patty…” not in public, anyway.

Unfortunately for Delta, the way D.C. works is corrupt and working within it is corrupting. If you do not get corrupt you will be marginalized.

Precisley. Life is a game of “Suvivor.” If you have any kind of morals or integrity, etc. etc. you’re a threat to those around you. And, eventually, they’ll “vote you off the island.”

Please understand I greatly regret Robin Williams’ loss, nonetheless while listening to the news this afternoon, I heard them say,

“If you find yourself considering suicide, please get help,”

and the thought floated into me mind, “If you have help, is it REALLY suicide?”.I suspect Robin would’ve approved the misinterpretation.

On the subject of presidential children, I read something that the name, “John-John” was a media invention. Supposedly, the Kennedy family never called him that; he was referred to as “John,” or “John Jr.”

Mike Farrell and Alan Alda (“M*A*S*H”) may have said it first, around 1977.

I recall Hawkeye said something very close to it in the first season (when Trapper John was still there).

In one episode, the defense information group at command Pacific Fleet (acronymed CINCOMPAC) incorrectly and falsely reported the end of the Korean conflict. As Lt. Col. Blake was explaining to the officers that the communication came from CINCOMPAC, Hawkeye piped up and said, “Who cares if it came from NIN-COM-POOP” ;-PPP
