But when or IF thst ever happens, they should remember the Ferengi 1st Rule of Acquisition:

Tiff, is throwing a pity party.

Not sure that majoring in business at the undergraduate level is the key to “nasty” wealth; you can know the financial side of how to run or manage a business but without a product or an idea, you’re nowhere, unless the person with the ideas hires you. But he (not you) will be nasty wealthy….. maybe.

I detect a note of sarcasm in Bets’ last statement. And she doesn’t look particularly hopeful for success at business.

But—it’s really great to see that Tiff is maturing and finding her own way. Might do her good if (or when) Daddy Buckchaser loses all his money.

I still hope Tiffany & Bets find a way to work together. That could be interesting.

Years ago Tiff use to flaunt her sexiness and confidence. Then Greg took her down. Why?

The stinking rich people I know make better plans for their kids than second-rate state colleges and dead-end waitressing jobs. They send their kids to good schools, whether they have good grades or not, and give them internships with their friends’ companies if not with their own.

Situation’s changed. Time was Tiffany could live off Tom’s wealth.

Bit of a Bets correction. Business majors actually often are not filthy rich. Business actually isn’t a very lucrative major.

Bets made some nasty $ from her social media platform (which she has given up); what will she try now?

Sounds like a good name for a podcast!

But didn’t her father cut her off?

Tiffany has come a long way since high school and her not quitting this job proves that she’s learned a lot about herself.

My college roommate in the ’70’s came from a well off family. Dad paid his tuition, books, room and board and expenses like a phone line and long distance bill. He also received $500/month spending money ($2,137 adjusted to 2024). He still worked because he spent everything he had.

In some ways we are seeing more of a dichotomy between Bets and Tiff. Bets wants to be “nasty wealthy” where her end goal is the cash. Tiffany is (arguably by eventual inheritance) already “wealthy”, but her motivation is approval.

Both positions are interesting and also a bit difficult to have as a focus.

Yet… it is ok to be “Irked with work” as long as you are NOT irked with WORKING. There is a difference. The latter can keep you going to make work better. I think that is what hard working folks try to do.

Long, rough day at work. Usually resolved after an early to bed and long night of sleep.

Helloo….Bets – you had a way to be and get nasty rich but you threw it away for a dorky momma’s boy. And Tiffany – you really need to quit being such a daddy’s girl. No man is ever going to want someone like that.

It seems to me that she likes the idea of making her own money, not the reality.

You are going to spend no quite half your life at work. Do something that feeds your soul and makes you happy. Unless. . . . you are one of those people who are not happy unless they are miserable. Then go to work for CorporateAmerica, Inc. . . . . Bon Appetit

Tiffany is truly admirable in her determination to not leaning on her father and make him proud. But I’m afraid Tom Farrell doesn’t care about this, maybe he doesn’t even notice it. The relationship between Tiffany and this workaholic, always busy and very distant father is really sad to me. He says he loves her, but the only thing he consistently gave her was money and now Tiffany rejects it, maybe she’s slowly rejecting him too. One day Tiffany will walk out of his life and he won’t even notice it.

Jerry Seinfeld is a billionaire. Pretty good for a show about nothing.

Business majors are sure to mean wealth? Where are they hiding mine?

“Rich” seems to imply “nasty“. Both of these girls seem remarkably self-centered, although each has occasional moments of decency. Neither is a “finished product”, but my money’s on Tiff to turn out okay. Both are infinitely more interesting than Luanne or Brad. Will Jack ever get another thread?

I got an accounting degree from Cal State Fresno in 1975. I was told when recruiters came to interview on campus they would knock 1 GPA off grads from State Universities when comparing them to grads from major universities -Berkley, UCLA, Stanford… So an A average from a State University = B from UCLA or Berkley. There was no interest in those with less than an A average.

There’s work and then there’s making money. Most of our current billionaires started out as people who were unwilling to be mere employees working for and living paycheck to paycheck.

Dad didn’t seem bothered when Ann Eiffel leaned on him until he was broke.

I like this Tiffany.

Mixed blessing. Oh, well. Irked and poor is worse.

Two good reasons to work. And everyone gets Irked by Work at times, Tiffany. Even the heads of big companies get irritable by things sometimes. You just have to persevere!

We’re all “irked from work” Tiff, that’s just the way it is.

Even the financial giants had their bad days.
