“White”? Of course. I’ve been dreaming of a wide Christmas.

Maybe That’s the Donald Trump campaign staff … and they’re not talking about snow.

Same here in Chicago, but all we’re getting this year is rain, rain & more rain!You don’t have to shovel rain! Wonderful!

If you were owned by a Giant Shetland Pony you’d prefer snow. Rain = Mud = long grooming session which leaves groomer/me covered in dirt. Now snow on the other hand, ponies go out, roll and come in cleaner. :D

I have sheep and chickens. I could really do with, at least, some cold! The corral is nothing but muck! And yes, I am a Vermonter!

Rain or snow on Christmas, I’m good either way, although it will be rain this year. What’s really important (at least to me) is that my little family is all together, safe and happy enjoying the season with each other. I’m fortunate and lucky and I know it….

I live near Bangor Maine, and I was listening to the radio yesterday morning. The host said she doesn’t like driving in the snow so doesn’t want it to be a white Christmas, and her mom WON’T drive in the snow, so if they want to see each other, then it can’t snow.

I’m just wondering how the liked being locked up last year for a couple months unable to leave because of snow on the ground.

Santa Barbara has more chance of a White Christmas this year than Boston. .At least the hills behind the city of SB will likely make for lovely photos.

Move to Colorado Springs. Snows in the morning and melts in the afternoon. You do get to drive on a lot of black ice, however.

After last year, I’m glad to forego a white Christmas and a white winter of any kind.

I now live in Florida. I love watching it snow, on TV of course.

I’m Canadian and agree with that version of the song. It could snow late Christmas Eve and the snow could go away on January 2. Except on ski slopes, they can have all they want and need for a profitable season.

People who live in the northeast U.S. that bitch about snow, would bitch about sunshine if they lived in Southern Cal.Your an adult; don’t like the weather where you live? MOVE !!!

Oh how quaint.

Snow that comes, looks pretty, then goes away fast is what we Southerns call a polite Southern snow.

So far this “winter,” we in Chicago have had one snow. To its credit, the first snow of November was something like ten inches, but it was gone within three days. Rest of the time we’ve had temperatures in the 40s and even 50s (tomorrow’s supposed to top 60, possibly with spring-like thunderstorms). White Christmas, definitely not. Wet Christmas, likely.

This cartoon should have come with an earworm alert.Even reading the reworked lyrics sets it off..When I was still working (an outside job) I always found it easier to deal with snow than with 34F rain.

Clearly, this is a group of raaaaacists! Non-inclusivists! Anti-immigrationists! Oh, the HORROR! The horror…

Well, in Atlanta at least we won’t have to listen to wide-eyed news people asking the meteorologist, “Any chance of a white Christmas this year?”Everyone knows it’ll be 75 and rain.

It’s raining in Southern California and we are thankful for our Christmas present.

Here on the East Coast we’ll be singing, “And then one soggy Christmas Eve …”

Is that a single wide Christmas?

In the northwest we’re finally getting some snow, after 3 years of essentially none, when “average” would be 4-5 feet.

No snow yet here in Bavaria (except on the good old 3000 meters high Zugspitze.

We’re just hoping for a Christmas without too many bush fires. Season’s started early, unfortunately.

Most of us Michiganers, (No “d”, dammit, we’re not geese!)…had a good chortle when Atlanta GA was shutdown by two inches of snow…But maybe we should check our own selves…..Highway 131 mashed up about 50 cars and trucks just a couple days ago, with less than two inches of snow….If it snows heavy even for just a couple of minutes, the tires melt it, turn it to water, and than it freezes on the surface of the road….Snow clears and all of a sudden it’s a beautiful sunny day …which reveals 30 trucks and cars piled up in front of you, about 50 feet away and you’re on glare ice going 45 mph…No matter what, don’t stay in the car, because others are going to crash into it….Run away from the road quickly…Wait until the sound of all the crashes stop….It may take a while…..You’ll have plenty of time later to get your stuff.you’re not going anywhere for a while…..

One good thing about no snow here in the Chicago suburbs is we’re saving money on salt,diesel and truck repairs.

We moved back to New England after 6.5 years in North Carolina. I’ll take a New Hampshire winter over a Raleigh summer any time!

I grew up in Florida..That song never made a Lick of sense..Then, I finally saw the movie and I understood. It was all part of the Commercialization of Christmas:

I live in New Hampshire (that’s in New England for you geographically challenged folks.) Snow is just fine with me. Gives me a chance to spend more hours playing, err, pushing the stuff around in piles with my new(ish) tractor.
