Well THAT’s a stupid idea!

I’ve done my part. I have my computer, and my browsers (Plural. It confuses the trackers even more…), configured such that I haven’t seen a targeted ad in years, if ever, but I can still access almost everything I might care to on the interwebs. They don’t know who I actually am unless I specifically tell them and they sure as heck aren’t making money off tracking and advertising to me.

And that’s why the guy’s wife is following him, to tell him when he does something stupid.

The internet doesn’t make you do stupid things. It just lets millions of people know when you do.

No! Sign MINE to save the internet but kill mob-inducing and lie-spreading “social media”.

Facebook must die so that the nation can try to live in peace and get their news and info from long-time reputable sources once again.

Ironically I read this strip here on the internet because my paper dropped this strip back in W’s misrule.

What – it’s only the internet that makes you do something stupid? Maybe you are all too young to remember that TV rotted your brain; comics would stop you from thinking straight; that rockets could never fly into outer space; that computers would stop you from looking for thinking anything original. Anything that’s new and useable is considered to be somehow an attack on society’s morals and educational (and other) attitudes. Hasn’t happened to me yet – well not so much that a little plastic surgery wouldn’t fix.

The Internet’s okay. It’s social media that’s the problem.

Kill the Internet? No. Kill Social Media? Yes.

Not doing anything stupid today implies you do not live with a woman.

Nobody really plans to do something stupid. What happens is that it turns out to be stupid when seen in hindsight.

Are you kidding? This would fix the internet — if we could trust the people causing the problems to actually understand the pledge.

Just be selective. Simple.

Was a time newspapers and early tv news checked and verified info before publishing. They were reliable and informative. Most TV commentators feel off that wagon long before Peter Jennings [the last of the really reliable tv journalists] died. Newspapers jumped off the cliff when they were purchased by extremely wealthy patrons who then bent them to fit their personal political biases.

None of that is going to change in the coming generations. They have found fertile ground for their political and social ruminations, most of which are cut from whole cloth as the saying goes.

He’s going to kill the Republican Party.

What does the “i” in iPhone, iPad, etc. stand for? iDiot.

Its my phone that has been driving me crazy lately, There’s a problem with my Social Security Account, The warranty on my 12 yr old car is about to expire, There have been excessive charges on my Amazon Account, on and on. Blocking the number just tells them that you listened to their pitch. I have gotten to the point that I don’t answer if I don’t recognize the number unless they leave a message.

The Internet is a new form of collective information in the same way the book was when it was invented. The Internet, in some form or another will never die; neither will the book.They also probably won’t get any smarter. :)

Biden was there along with Polosi, AOC and a few others. They all refused to sign.

There is more stupid out there than you can fix with duct tape and baling wire.

If we all took the pledge, the internet would indeed collapse.

If it had anything to do with “social” media, I’d sign in a heartbeat.

Or, at least wean people off Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
