That, dear sir, is post-modern, self-ironic, woke-actuated NYT certified high art. Extremely high participative art. It invites the viewer to contemplate the dissonance that our racist liberal order creates and the horrors it perpetuates upon the natural order and the truculent transience of our wanton cravings that can never be satisfied as we waddle along in our cataclysmic, myopic daily routines hurtling mindlessly to our own inevitable destruction.

A canine turd would be a nice touch – so go right ahead! Be careful, as that turd can be sold as an NFT as well, so be sure to copyright it.

Around here, folks get called in for illegal dumping, more often than not. Though last week I had occasion to visit a much more red-hat area where it sort of looked like trees attracted dumpers about as strongly as they attract dogs.

I used to take my dog to a park that is right next to a working cattle ranch. One of the cows realized that the grass really is greener on the other side, and that barbed wire only hurts for a moment. A number of other cows followed her into the park, and spent enough time there to drop rather a lot of poop. By the time we got there, the cows had been rounded up and moved out, but the poop was still there. I felt like an idiot, cleaning my dog’s little bit, compared to just one of the pies. But I did it anyway.

Sometimes, it’s the owners who need to be put on a leash because the pets are more compliant. We have a leash law here and some people with aggressive animals simply refuse to observe it. Someone remarked they would shoot the animal. Personally, why blame the animal? It’s the owner who should be shot.

Kinda like the NO CELLPHONES/SMARTPHONES rules for students at schools. Now there’s an uphill battle.

The dumbest dogs are smarter than most people. Duffy probably has better manners and better sense than to add to that heap.

trash attracts more trash. Sadly the sign won’t work until the old trash is removed. And there will still be the jerk that tosses the cigarette butt and the bud-lite can into the shrubs

I remember back in the day when the city dump would burn on Wednesdays. They stopped at some point because of air pollution. Now they just bury it and wait for it to melt, or whatever. Progress is strange.

The DEC (Dept. of Environmental Conservation) hates people dumping. But they do love to levy hefty fines on those they catch, and they do catch a lot of them.

Only one panel? Shouldn’t there be twenty-seven 8×10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one?

This is actually a good thing. All of the trash appears to be clustered right around the sign for eazy removal. If only real No Dumping signs worked this way, instead of just being completely ignored.

I see from Mr. Wiley’s comment on the dumping that it happens everywhere…not just in our neighborhood. I just don’t get it. How difficult can it be to drive to the city dump as opposed to throwing a bag out the window when you get to a parking lot in a park. Our nearby park has that problem too that it attracts those piles.

In our city, there is a minimum charge after a certain weight, so even ten bags of extra garbage ends up not costing anything extra.

What a conundrum people must face: driving to the park after dark to dispose of a load of garbage, or drive to the dump and do the same openly.

Then they are the ones who complain that city taxes are going up because the public works department or the parks department must hire more staff for cleanup of parks and roadways….

We had llamas for many years. Their poop was valued as fertilizer to the point people would buy it from us. We couldn’t see charging anything, so just said “call ahead and bring a container”. On the other hand, chicken waste kills if put on directly. It was considered too “hot” unless it aged.

So many people operating on the theory that one Large pile of garbage is better than two Small piles of Garbage.

And, it being Easier, decide to throw theirs Down rather than pick the other Up.
