Someone pointed out that we’re not all in the same boat, we’re all in the same storm. Except some of us have yachts, some have rowboats and some are drowning.
If, and that’s a big “IF”, today’s comments are a valid cross section of the country … and not just the politicians … then in the words of that great philosopher, “We have met the enemy; and he is us.”
Sad but true…Pig’s observation is prescient, but who (or who can) is going to put an end to the madness? (My apologies for the poor syntax of that sentence.)
Not remotely accurate. The red guy should be over-weight, shirtless and be wearing a horned headdress! (The crazies ARE the republican party now. 130,000%)
I don’t see it that way. It looks to me like both of them are steering the boat in the opposite direction from all the people who are drowning, with the red leading the charge and the blue one hurrying to keep pace.
We actually have only one oar. When it’s red’s turn he points us at the giant waterfall. When it’s blue’s turn he asks red not to point us at the giant waterfall while NOT paddling away from it.
Here’s the “both sides are as bad” theme again. Except one side isn’t condoning a violent attempt at insurrection or trying to corrupt the vote for the next election.
The more the US fights internally the less time it has messing up other countries. Well at least that is what we can hope for but then again if leaders have internal problems they tend to benefit from a war overseas. Hum, wonder if there is a historian out there that could see if these hypotheses holds any water?
This may be hard to believe, but I believe the key event or decade starting the great divide in our country was about 100 years ago. It’s been obscured by the huge events since, the Depression, WWII, the Cold War — but do some research and I think you will see it, too. Look up and watch the movies Flame in the Wind, Sheffey, Time Changer, and Alleged.
a pro is someone who is good enough to make a living at something, a con makes a living from fooling people or someone in jail … progress is moving forward …so what is congress???!!!
The Founders of the Constitution made it a hard and deliberate process to change it on purpose. It helps stymie mob rule as with the French revolution. It’s the kind of thing Obama, Hillary, and the Democrat-Socialist hate. They want to make the rules as they go, as long is benefits them entirely. Thank you Founders!
That’s a good analogy !!I’ve always said it’s like the hands of a clock are at 6 and we agree we need to change them to 12… but some will turn them clockwise and some will turn them counter-clockwise

Funny cartoon, but nothing will EVER change. Just read the comments. Everyone thinks it is the OTHER party’s fault. There are NO mirrors in politics.
