In WWII, my Granpa sent a letter home to his parents but he cut out the page, only having ‘Dear Mom and Dad,’ and ‘Your loving son, Robert’ remaining. His parents were outraged and had a congressman involved (I believe that’s right). My Granpa got in a bit of trouble for that prank!
Editor humor. Which I know from comic strips. On my first DICK TRACY script, I had to restage a panel to avoid someone being visibly shot with a gun, and they had issues with a mind reader being named ‘Emil Retentive’ (Well, I thought it was funny!)

Well some of that did need to be cut. . .

Now if Ned would just do the same thing with his speech, it would be much appreciated.

Rat would be adding accolades, instead of deleting, if he was the one being introduced.

Meh, I generally want at least some introduction just so I can figure out why I should listen to the speaker (if I don’t know them already).

Wasn’t this bad, though.

Wish I could remember, which comic and who was the guest. “My next guest needs no introduction.” Then the comic left as the guest ca=me on stage.
