I don’t go to coffee shops and I’ve never been drafted, so I can’t identify with either of them.

I don’t like expensive or coffee. They tried to draft me, but I got out of it on a typographical error, I was 8 not 18.

Rat’s life story pales in comparison with the old guys!

There’s a good Angelina Jolie movie, “Those Who Wish Me Dead.”

Jolie is a firefighter who lost her crew when she made a bad decision during a wildfire. She’s helping a young boy whose father was just killed by the Mafia.

They are sitting and the kid asks her why she lives alone in the woods. She tells him the story of her freinds dying.

The kid says that’s really sad, and it reminds him of how bad he felt when his mother died of cancer.

Jolie says “Kid, you’re making it tough for me to feel sorry for myself.”

man these 100 year old veterans are getting sassy.

If he was born in 1925 he’d probably be dead.

Not only that Rat, Pumpkin Spice Latte is out of season and not due back until next October and they don’t have Creme Brûlée latte this year! Talk about having to improve to suck…

My grandfather couldn’t get a job as a young man because his draft card said 1A, and they knew he was going to war. He survived on wits and luck <3

Yeah, life could always be a LOT worse.

I was born in 1949 and lived my first six years in a house with no electricity or running water. I didn’t fight the Nazis but both of my parents did.

Those alive today may be able to give the Greatest Generation a run for their money soon…

After having risked his life to fight the Nazis, I wonder how that guy feels now that an avowed Nazi sympathizer is taking over our government.

This guy looks quite young for a one hundred-year-old.

Once upon a time, when I complained about having to walk to school, my dad reminded me that when he was in school he had to bring in a piece of wood for the woodstove every time he came back from the outhouse. I shut up.

I’m not quite as old as Rat’s critic, but I am old enough to share his view of the world.

I was born to folks who were children during the Depression, teens in WWII — I grew up seeing everything go to seed in the 60s and 70s — but I still feel sorry for this generation.

If he was born in 1925 he should look a whole lot older…

I wasn’t drafted, I enlisted during Vietnam.

There are problems and there are problems. I hope that we never again have that man’s problems ever again, but we will……
