Earl if you could fix the bathroom faucet. Why couldn’t you fix the kitchen faucet. Was it to big for ya.

A lesson well-learned!!

Fixing faucets is about as easy as plumbing gets. Though you DO have to turn off the angle valves first. And I’ve had the plastic pipe behind the angle stop fracture when I turned my son in law loose on it and he just grabbed it and T.W.I.S.T.E.D full strength. That was fun…

Fixing a dripping faucet is easy. Avoiding fixing it is even easier.

These things take a lot of thought, Opal!

6 months inspiration, 20 minutes perspiration!

Even Muffin is interested! Or annoyed at being disturbed!

Earl’s first bronze badge in the procrastination club, he needs to stall for a full year to get to the silver badge!

Though Opal may kill him before he gets to the gold badge!!

Never start a plumbing project on a Sunday night.

“What have you learned from this?” is something you say to a child, not an adult. Know why? BECAUSE IT’S CONDESCENDING!

I am a chronic procrastinator by my own admission. I really do put PRO in procrastinator!

H-m-m-m-m-m Only 6 months to stall off a one of these days thing. He’s a piker. It would be one of my shorter stalls. I’ve got a garage stocked with some going on years.

I thought he meant that he learned that he could avoid it in only 20 minutes instead of taking 6 months to avoid it.

I may replace the bathroom faucets, they are stupid, fake water pumps and they just drool. Takes way too long to rinse soap off.

It is said “When a man says he will do something, he will do it. You do not need to remind him every six months.” Earl is right on schedule.

Until you calculate the cost savings you missed out on by letting the tap leak for 6 months. Cha-Ching!

Our faucet drips, the light is out in the oven, and #4 on the microwave won’t work. Screw it, we’re getting our whole kitchen remodeled. Problems solved.

many problems, if ignored, will go away eventually… of course the ones that don’t usually become catastrophic, but one can’t have everything

As a lover of old houses who is by no means wealthy, I have of necessity learned a bit of most the trades associated with restoration & upkeep of same. And I enjoy doing them – except plumbing; I hate plumbing, and it hates me!

I would have put it off, too, Earl.

Earl has his own logic…why not!

I have arthritis in my hands and money in my bank, so I call a plumber.

Amen to that till my Waukesha County village was forced by the EPA to remove radium at the input and sewer and our cost increased egregiously.

6 months? Piker! We can procrastinate MUCH longer than that.

Takes 6 months to fix, imagine wasted water and the bill.

I wait for a good day, a really good day, and do four or five of these long-delayed projects. Well, that’s the plan, but the second “20-minute” project winds up taking all afternoon.
