    A trucker friend of mine holds that there are only two seasons here in Indiana: winter season and construction season. This seems to be only half true, or winter runs along for most of the year since the roads, especially in large cities and the interstates, are falling apart.

    There was a book in the “Spellsinger” series that made the sensible comment that the shortest distance between two points is…nothing. If there is nothing between two points, obviously they are side by side.
