I think that’s the first time I’ve seen Seagull referenced by one of the characters, he’s usually just “there”.

Seagull is like, “I love you Wallace but I ain’t that stupid, you’re on your own buddy!” Wallace forgot to bring along a case of Red Bull™!

In the F-4, when the aircraft commander says “Eject! Eject! Eject!” the back seater goes first, very much like in this strip. The pilot has the option to stay with the aircraft or go next. :)

“Flightcom! I can’t hold her! She’s breaking up!”

Looks like your leaning hard to starboard. Forget the bird and lean left! Not that you really can steer a tube much.

Some trips really are more about the destination.

Nothing starts my day with an honest to god belly laugh more consistently than this damned comic! Excited for the fourth book in a month or so!

I doubt I could follow this instruction. I’m not familiar with nautical terms and I have enough trouble telling right from left.

Not really sure how much a 10 oz bird can steer a sled.

In this strip and the previous one, I love how the seagull obviously thought he’d found a comfy place to relax, only to realize what was going to happen when Spud gives the tube a shove. Big, outraged eyes, then big, terrified eyes…then outta there!

I love how the action moves from one frame to the next, you can sense the speed, and that closeup in the 2nd frame, wild! You can see Wallace’s struggle to keep his craft under control.

I salute you, Cap’n Wallace!
