Typical. I’ll clean up the kitchen and there goes my husband to mess it up again.

I feel your pain. Empty flat surfaces, clean bathroom, clean kitchen… My husband cannot resist any of them. Worst are the book shelves. Clean and sorted bookshelves means books strewed all over the house as he rediscovered old friends.

It doesn’t seem to matter what day I clean the bathroom! Anytime it is freshly cleaned, my husband gets in there to trim his beard and hair gets all over the sink and counter! He will wipe up the majority, but not all the little hairs around the faucet. Drives me nuts!

Murphy’s law, Janis. Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry all stay clean for less than a day. In addition, any time I change one of the cat boxes, at least one cat uses it immediately.

For the first 29 years of our marriage I was able to clean what needed to be cleaned on a regular basis – despite my Oscar Madison gene mentioned in another post. I worked for my dad at first and then on my own, so my time was my own and since dad died and I took over the accounting practice, I worked from home. So it was easy to schedule and do cleaning (without a schedule it would have been O.M. country here).

Ten years ago husband took rather early retirement for health reasons and started also working from home – from the same office – our desks face each other. since then cleaning has been a problem. Time to dust and vacuum in the office?- He is working and doesn’t like my cleaning around him. Want to clean the toilet? He will need it in the middle of it being cleaned and flush the toilet with the cleaning liquid in it and I have to start over.

So using it after I am done cleaning it would be an improvement!
