Lupin doesn’t look happy about this development.

Love Elvis’ worried little eyebrows. It’s the little details that truly charm!

Lupin’s still being a little grouch. Someone get Goldie out of quarantine and into a stylish pant-suit, pronto!

Goldie on the other hand looks happy to have a mystery to solve.

Elvis is willing to wait and see if the detective can produce. But the cookies and beards are already gone.

“Round up the usual Robber Mice suspects.”

As much as I love this cartoon, tin can telephones only work when the string is taut.

And let me say straight away that “Casablanca” isn’t a love story. It’s a story of moral redemption, that includes a love story as a sub-plot.

Goldie is going to solve the case by getting Puck and Elvis to report the facts to her. Lupin is still refusing to have anything to do with her.

Goldie is far too cheerful and bouncy to be Bogart … hmm … Elvis is fussy enough to remind me of Poirot … Puck is sweet enough to be Father Brown … and Lupin’s larcenous ways could make him Boston Blackie … but Goldie? …

Goldie will be a wonderful investigative reporter for BCN! I hope the Boys will give to her her own BCN microphone just like how they gave Tommy his own microphone on Christmas several years ago!

Wow, solving a mystery without being able to investigate things first hand (paw)? Talk about “phoning it in” :D

Lupin is back in his snit!

OT: Yesterday was the day I took my six little kittens into the humane society to find furever homes. It was incredibly hard to part with these little cuties, but I knew it would be too much for me. They will get neutered, and shots, and was told Christmas time is very busy with many people looking for kittens. My heart breaks six times for missing their individual purrsonalities, and wish them great homes and lives in the future. The stray mommy will stay with me and my two old girls.

This is going to be a great case.

GOLDIE probably already has an idea who took the cookies,or maybe Lupin s the new thief.

So Goldie has moved from reading detective novels to watching old movies while stuck in quarantine?

You know, if you squint your eyes a bit, the right side of the 3rd panel kinda blurs and it looks like all 4 cats are together in one scene… I don’t think we’ve had that yet, have we? If not, it’s coming! <3

Lupin is still grumpy about the whole thing but I don;t think he is quite so scowly as he was before. Perhaps he is considering rejoining the good boys after all.

OT I’m grumpy today. Just when I was starting to feel better from my bout with the shingles, I now am dealing with an abscessed tooth. I’m on antibiotics and then I will need a root canal. It seems this is the year when I just can’t seem to catch a break. I’m catching myself overreacting to comments about my comments and starting to make negative replies and deleting them before I post them. If I let one slide by, please forgive me and call it to my attention so I can go back and trash it.
