Like a tennis game… both of my cats head turn to the slightest movement or sound… at the same time! If it is an interesting sound… they will jog to the window. I am sure all of these cats people will be sensitive to the felines and notice their anxieties.
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: Alright, everyone stay calm. Or at least, let’s get the poofs over with. First, let’s figure which route Bea would likely have taken to the Great Pyramid.
Lupinum: The quickest way would be the Colossus Road.
The Queen: Good. Puckmosis, you get a group together and take that route. She may have gone to see Trevor-Hotep at the Cosmos Nursery. Lupinium, you and Avenger check that out. And you may as well ask Burt-Ra if he has any plants to take there.
Tabith-Isis: I will go to the top floor of the palace and keep a lookout. And I can give Baba-Stet a crystal red dot for scrying.
The Queen: Good. Elvis-Anum, can you think of any other routes Bea may have taken?
Elvis-Anum: There’s the OhPun road to Afar. But there are reports of desert rats out that way.
The Queen: Then it’s a good thing we have Louie-Nour visiting here. Louie, you and Elvis take Vann and head out that way.
Louie-Nour: Yes, Your Majesty.
The Queen: And try not to get startled if you don’t have to.
Time for our Detective to begin the investigation.

Today is my Birthday. I have staved off entropy one more year. However, I see the beast just beyond the firelight pacing back and forth, claws and fangs, waiting patiently. It’s silly at my age, but the first thing I thought of this morning was that my Mom was not here. It is my first Birthday that she is not around. Funny where the mind goes.
Tonight I plan on having a Martini when I get home and my daughter Alexandria is making my favorite desert from scratch – Blueberry Pie. I really don’t need the calories, but what the heck.
I have a day off today from sitting on boys so I can pack and prepare everything to take to the cabin from tomorrow until Labour Day. Then I will be back to regular commenting, as I will be only going across the street to get the boys ready and off to school.
Everyone who loves that midnight dance strip with the fireflies, peep toads, Robber Mice, and Baba Mouse – you’re getting the mug of your dreams! https://www.instagram.com/p/CEo05DCogie/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Happy birthday. I have some of the later cards for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. I reread them on the appropriate day. And smile.Sorry for your loss. You never forget but it becomes mellow with memories.
National Blueberry Popsicle Day —May your tongue be blue.
Calendar Adjustment Day —Frankly, they still don’t have it right. If every month had the same number of days, things would be a lot easier. However, at least we no longer have to jump from September 2 to September 14, like they did in 1852, which must have upset a lot of people, especially those with birthdays from Sept. 3 to Sept. 13. Here, have a blueberry popsicle as consolation.
Bison-ten Yell Day—"Bicentenial," poorly pronounced. This silliness, frankly, has gone on much too long.
World Coconut Day —Also Whorled Coconut Day (whorled coconuts are very rare, and inedible), and Whirled Coconut Day, which sounds dangerous. I once lived on coconut for an entire week. It took years before I could eat it again, not even a Mounds™ bar. That is how I learned that Whirled Coconuts are dangerous, and Whorled Coconuts are inedible.
In case anybody’s interested, La Casa Rosada (as it’s popularly known; the official name is La Casa de Gobierno) is the Argentine equivalent of the White House.
I’ve seen some new, themed Etch-A-Sketches this summer. Really just the frame being themed with no difference to the actual Etch-A-Sketch itself. Monopoly Etch-A-Sketch, Star Wars (actually Disney Wars) Etch-A-Sketch, Simpsons Etch-A-Sketch, and I believe Candy Land Etch-A-Sketch. Maybe folks have seen them before this year, even before this summer, but they were new to me.
Happy birthday, rs. But do you associate your moms absence with fangs and threats? I hope not. It is difficult to be the head of a family. So try to celebrate your new status and remember your mom with love.
