This is very much like that recent Sunday reprint where Calvin was studying animal tracks in the woods and realised that the large animal which had frightened the smaller ones away was Hobbes.
Apparently bite marks previously used to convict are no longer considered valid evidence according to recent news about a man released after wrongful conviction based on them.
Last night, on America’s Funniest Home Videos, they showed a video of a man who went face first into a thick layer of snow and left a perfect impression of his face in it. Maybe Calvin can try this but more likely Hobbes will force it on him..

I agree with Hobbes. Who’s to say those were his tracks? Coulda been just about any tiger in the neighborhood.

An awful lot of trouble to diagnose a snowball.

He should’ve said no, that’s not tiger tracks, those are clearly from a snow leopard.

He’ll need to take impressions of those tracks and bring them back to the lab for comparison

Hobbes’ defense is the fact that tigers don’t have opposable thumbs.
That and the fact that he’s imaginary.

I wish Hobbes had said, “Anybody’s tiger’S tracks.” Doesn’t everybody have a tiger?

But tiger Hobbes happens to be only in your presence, not otherwise. And The plot thickens.

Hobbes also has a certain sense of haute couture as can be seen by his stylish scarf.
