Part of me wants to see “Sheraton St. Louis” get the role of Martha Washington…..just to have the fun of Gunther putting her into one of those tight corsets the women of that era used. There is potential comedy gold there allowing her to “suffer for her art”.

Ouch, Gunther made it to drama camp too….poor Luann. But it’ll be nice for Quill to have a way to be guarded from Tiffany. You know, if this were an anime, Tiffany would be pulling out the hammer and sending Gunther to the moon.

Anyway, for a 36 inch hip, the “ideal” is a 25 inch waist, as determined by a fair bit of research into male visual preferences.

Gunther is Luaan’s mole at drama camp.

Cue: Luann learning how to get involved at drama camp through volunteering, leading to Luann believing that Quill’s cheating on her (he’s not, but will be offended when she has an accusatory meltdown), driving Quill into Tiff’s arms, leaving Gunther to comfort Luann, leading to their consummating their relationship, leading to the end of the strip.

I still think there was some kind of mix-up. They’ll ask Tiffany to reprise her role in “West Side Story” and it will become apparent that she didn’t have the starring role. Quill will set them straight.

You know, I’ve been very critical of Gunther but I have to admit that I am very glad to see him there. My hatred for Tiffany runs deep and I will root for both Quill and Gunther to hasten the demise and humiliation of Tiffany.

Predictable story line coming:Tiffany makes a play for Quill. Gunther sees something at a distance and assumes the worst. Quill brushes off Tiffany but not before Gunther calls Luann. 2 months of intense cartoon suspense ending with Luann and Quill kissing at the airport. But is this the beginning or the end? Stay tuned for the 50th anniversary collection where Greg spills it all!

If I were Tiffany, I wouldn’t tak to Gunther like that; he has a LOT of dirt on her that she wouldn’t want spread around the camp. ( Why she had to give up her title as Miss Chamber of Commerce, the real story behind her walk-on in Eye of Zeye, and let’s not forget that phone-camera incident. )

By his own calculations (50th anniv.), he’s not due for another 22 years…

Boy, was Quill relieved! His male hormones had actually started to overwhelm his common sense. Once again, the G-man saves the day!

And how does Gunther know those aren’t her measurements?

I wonder if he knows her measurements because he’s made her costumes before or because he just has an eye for it by now.

And the sparring matches start.

interesting Gunther can estimate human body measurements at a glance, hard to fool.-I know a lady who once tried to weigh a puppy.It wouldn’t stand still on the scales.We told her to weigh herself holding the puppy and then without the puppy.Puppy’s weight was the difference.She locked the bathroom door to take the readings.We asked what the scale said.She wouldn’t answer, not wanting to give away her weight.My brother said he imagined the puppy and Becky weighed 185 pounds.She was amazed he got the number dead on it.How did he guess?He figured the puppy weighed 25 pounds.It did.Then she understood he also correctly estimated her weight.They’ve been married 36 years this coming July 2.(the weigh-in was a couple of years before that)

Lets be blunt. Luann story lines fall into one of two catagories: predictable, boring or both. But Quill and Gunther an item ? Now there would be a plot twist worth staying tuned for. And ooh soo very timely (just a heads up for those of you out there who haven’t read more than just the comics lately).

The best thing he’s ever said, and notice that she only corrected the name he called her by. She didn’t object when he said she was lying about her measurements. LOL!

Gunther is undeniably straight. I just feel like it would be an interesting match in personalities… and a true plot twist from Greg Evans, who has never had a single gay character in the whole strip.

They’re now headed to their rooms to freshen up before dinner— the “Welcome Banquet” (eg., spaghetti out of a can).*They’ll meet their roomies— will Roscoe quiz Quill quite contemptuously?Will Tiff’s roommate have cancelled, leaving a vacancy for someone on standby?*Even if she’s accepted, Luann will have to decline as she is grounded until she goes to college.

Question:

Why did Gunther say, “We haven’t even auditioned yet.”?

Is he going to audition for a part, too? Volunteers can audition?

Giving it some thought, it could be a “collective” we, as in the entire camp, including staff and campers expects an audition to be underway soon, the collective expectation that the process will get underway, though not being done, presently…..==A second theory could be that he considers those who are volunteers and staff to be a total group who would be responsible for whatever goes on with the attendees (though I would favor my first theory, not the second one)…

Luann’s crime last week was being a smart aleck jerk. It wasn’t really worthy of being grounded forever, more likely it was an extra chores kind of punishment.

Was that confirmed? I felt it was too vague to be really solid, but I’ll take it as true. And I didn’t really interpret Ann as hitting on Bernice.And yes… I know that he is not gay. I think I have stated this. I said he and Quill would be an interesting partnership. More interesting than Quill and Luann or Gunther and Luann, or even Gunther and Rosa. But I acknowledge that he is not gay.

I’ve always enjoyed the chemistry between Tiffany and Gunther. They are so great together!
