Sounds like the teacher is saying in her own way tha Tiffany DOESN’T have a rare talent. That Quill can be a star of stage or film while Tiffany’s talent just isn’t that special.

Anyone catch the slight innuendo in Ms Manezon’s remarks?

Tiffany will be good in picture frames. Whereas Quill will be excellent in the theater business. It seems that she is implying that Tiffany is a pretty face and nothing more! LOL

Great poem. I have known several “Tiffanys” and I am amazed at the wonderful people they matured to be.

I think we will see Tiffany get dismissed from the female lead part.

It also could be that it’s during the time that she’d not have to work on camp things, like the weekend, or if Friday was a free day, or something like that… or if the Modeling Gig was upcoming, but not immediately now…

Are there any actors in the world who wouldn’t want their photo to be seen as widely as possible? Isn’t presenting yourself to the public a very large part of what the job is about? Why does wanting to be admired for her beauty by a large audience make Tiffany a bad person? I can’t imagine anyone saying, “I really want to be an actress, so long as no one ever sees me!”

You forgot a few other stars in NY and LA, although I’ve also heard that there are some “Hollywood people” are not even like that in everyday life….

But there’s still one more day to this week… question is, how will it play out tomorrow?

When does the camp director’s head explode?

*Just because you are first cast for a lead role. Does not necessarily mean that you keep it. Even with Broadway shows, during out of town tryouts. Where a show gets fine tuned before it ever hits Broadway. There are sometimes cast changes.

Let’s take a look at Ms Farrell’s resume.

Tiffany bombed in the “Toni Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” show.

She had a bit part in a film that never saw a theatrical release. It was so stinko. That it went straight to DVD (maybe). And is sold only at dollar stores.

She bombed at the Weenie World scheme.

She was reduced to the back of the chorus line in the school production of “West Side Story.”

And I believe she bombed as the lead actress in “George.” She will still be in the show. But again at the back of the chorus line!*

The good thing about being a simpleton is that they’re easy to satisfy.

And if that were to happen, all the other girls already enrolled in the camp, who have been attending all the drama classes. would have every right to leave and demand their money back. That would be the end of this camp forever, and rightly so.

Or it could be a cliffhanger, left open to perception (as can usually happen here)… ==where:(a) those who want to see Tiffany out will perceive it as “the curtain being drawn upon her”, ==or (b) those who may or may not like her but think that it will be inconsequential may think that she will still stand on her mark (though she is prone to “miss cues”) come show’s opening….

Nice word crafting there, Lev…==From my own personal perspective, it could work as a song…..

Actually, it does fit the “neo-soul” style of R&B(where it’s supposed to have a “conscious” feel, including the “positive alternative rap” style, and away from the corporate “inspired” commercial rap), or a combo R&B/Rock feel like “Incubus”, “Gorillaz”, etc,…==Or even how Boz Scaggs did “Jojo” among other classic blues/R&B/AOR songs of his…==But it also has the feel of classic/progressive rock bands, too… (Saga/GTR/early Genesis, etc.)….==Or the Coldplay/Fray type of styling…

“…Willard Scott from The Today Show? True dat”^Ha ha! And if you go to Youtube and search for classic commercials, his pops up amongst them… also a commercial for McD that has Vic Tayback (of Alice fame, etc.) and John Amos ( of Good Times, Roots, the District, etc…)

“Gin Blossom’s “Found Out About You”^It could…. would have to get a couple of lines to fit Robin Wilson’s cadence… at least when I play the song with the words…==If I sing it, it would seem to fit into the melody, too, though… . yeah, you’re right!

It’s kinda tingly to see the Tiffster all overwhelmed with emotion at just the thought of a nameless picture-frame gig! I must disagree with those who dislike Ms. Manezon, however; she is just right for the mid-range fading regional star who would run a summer Drama Camp for high schoolers!

…You gotta admit, this would be pretty exciting if you were interested in modeling (and I’m sure she would be). It’s small, but she’s still getting her image out there.

having her picture in all those frames is a great idea.it could lead to bigger and better things.she might get discovered by a hollywood producer or director,modeling agency or somebody in television.she could make millions of dollars every year!

I hope this works out for Tiff. I don’t like the character, but we’re not supposed to – and even people we don’t like have good things come their way.

Tiffany is an arrogant twilight zone!

Tiffany lacks serious dramatic talent ? probably. Tiffany makes it as a model and not as an actress ? What’s wrong with that ? In either case, the potential for big money is certainly there.

And while everyone loves to dump on Tiffany for being self centered and shallow; shouldn’t a professional model (or anyone else for that matter) be somewhat in love with themselves?

I got told that by one of the “old timers” who had gotten both kinds of highs. He also reminded me that “this was what I did, it wasn’t who I was”. Although, it’s tough to remember that when a pretty Luann-aged girl comes up to you at an event, and wants a picture and autograph. I even developed a nice “autograph signature” that I liked so much I use it for everything now.

I guess where I’m going is that while I don’t normally have much sympathy for the Tiffster, I really do understand the kind of thinking that’s probably going on in her head right now.

Tiffany got booted off the cheer squad, either months ago or years ago depending on how the timeline is working, for being a blackmailing pornographer.

I hope Tiffany got a job as the picture-frame model. But the whole scenario of how it came about (through a high-school drama camp rather than a modeling agency) is so implausible that we have to wonder whether she is being set up to be the victim of a cruel hoax. Did Mrs. Manezon check out that the opportunity is legit before picking a camper to be given the job?

The other girl Tiff’s talking to in panel 1 looks pleased for Tiff. So am I. I hope the modeling job is legit, because it will look good on her resume and could help open doors for future gigs. No need to feel sorry for Tiff here. I just don’t get why people are peeing on her for landing a modeling job. It’s also an easy way out for her if she wants to bail from the play. But I don’t see why she’d necessarily have to bail, unless she needs to travel a long way or something to do the modeling gig and be absent too long to continue with the role. And even if she did, she could still come back to camp—you’d think—and finish up in some other capacity, for whatever it was worth. I’d hope she’d take the modeling job and turn her energies in that direction for the rest of the summer. Go Tiff!

Tiff was passed over when Quill was being praised for his acting ability… It’s sad to be an Airhead, especially one who is so very wrapped up with herself.
