Teacher seems most likely since being with kids is what she’s been best at so far. And there’s nothing wrong with that. But I’d love to see Luann discover that she has a real passion for something – and hopefully some talent to go with – so that she also has a desire to get out and work hard and make things happen for herself, rather than just going with the flow. I’d hate to see her go the way of Cathy, just falling into what’s expected of her. (And of course, that “something” could be teaching.)
I think she’ll try her hand at acting but eventually end up teaching acting instead. (That is, unless she and Quill end up having a hit song as a husband/wife duet.)
I had a cousin who was like Luann when she was younger, very interested in theater and art. She did go to college for awhile (dropped out), but while she was in school, she discovered art therapy. So part of the time, she works with an acting group that entertains kids who are in the hospital. (The rest of her life is devoted to raising her daughter, and creating collages that she actually sells. Her husband is a sculptor of the old-fashioned kind; he makes marble statues of people that actually look like people…)-So I guess I vote ‘f’, because I hope Luann discovers a skill and an interest that she didn’t know about, till she went to college…
Actress – although she’ll struggle at it because of her perfectionism. She may wind up paying the bills teaching acting to kids, since she works well with them.
Early childhood education looks like the direction she’s headed at present, but while I’d like to see her involved in the arts full time, my guess is she’d be an acting/theatre teacher of young children.
i would like to see her have a career as an actress/singer to irritate Tiffany….but i also like the idea of a teacher…she is so awesome with the kids :)
She’s taking no courses in elementary education, is she? She will have to start soon, if she wants to get a teaching certificate. (Not that it will matter, since she will get fired from her first teaching job as soon as someone at the school is browsing the Web and happens to find of I’m a Snot.)
Definitely Teacher. Elementary but perhaps Middle school as well because she’s learned so much through the years about dealing with the relational issues middle schoolers struggle to handle.
Teacher. Of art and drama. You can see that she’s got, as she says, a ‘knack’ for both creative subjects, but I think that her real gift is connecting to others.
B. She was always such a drama queen! Opposite’s do attract so I don’t think Quill will be the perfect match. She’ll combine her dramatic flair with artistry and something that involves children since she’s always been good with babysitting. Perhaps she’ll be the next Shari Lewis!
I see her oscillating between a, b and c. Folks have suggested “Set Designer”, and I think she’ll likely move in theatrical circles for quite a while, trying to decide if she wants the exposure of being in front of the audience more as an actress or singer, or whether her true gifts are more suited to the backstage side of things. From what we’ve seen of her formative years, it’s very unlikely she’ll have just one career/vocation. She’ll keep trying new things until it’s time for her dirt nap.
