“These are not the drawings you were looking for….” – I don’t know which is worse, here- Zebo’s painting on the wall, or Manezon’s acting…. – Especially if she says “It means everything and nothing at the same time, Zebo!”
“Pain’t Misbehavin’ " (♫)“The Not So Fine Arts”“He’s Got His Hang-Ups”“Thick As A Brick” (♪ ♫)“All In All….” (♪)“It’s An Obstacle, Of Course!”“The Meaning Of Life, In 30 Strokes”“The Great Wall Of Chinet”“Picture Of The Litter”“Mortar-fied”“Easel, Like A Sunday Morning” (♪)“Painted Love” (♫)“Comfortably Numbers” (♫)“By The Numbers”“A Bricklayer’s Afternoon”“You Can’t Easel Your Way Out Of This”or “Stucco In Neutral”
And if she insists on “Hyphenating”, She’d be “Melodee Manezon-Zebo”…– Which could explain the kid in the pic you have. It could have been his first word…
We may not find out what Pru’s show is about, or who is in the cast, or anything like that. It might have been more interesting if we had been told about that, but even so, we can get by without knowing that information. It’s just a comic strip, so it’s all right if some things that would be important in real life get left out.-But that’s a different idea from the fact that the strip is repeatedly telling us that Moony U. bans dorm residents from having guests after 10 p.m. That’s an addition of an unrealistic element, and saying that it’s just a comic strip is not a good justification for adding a plot development that readers find hard to believe — or at least readers who have attended college in the last 40 years find hard to believe. The Evanses should have set up a different situation in order to establish the idea of Bernice feeling like a hypocrite as an RA.
And if people insist on combining their names, you’d have:(1) Melodeezebo(2) Manezebo(3) Zebozone(4) Zebodee(5) Zebomane(6) Zebomelo(7) Zoboomafoo(8) A sprained tongue(9) A severe headache (10) All of the above…
God people are such negatives. i think Mr. Zebo and “Melodee” are cute. She must be divorced though because she is a Mrs. She stands closer to him in the second panel as well. Hmmm.
Crazy Zébo’s Magic Realism “Brick Wall” is actually quite good. Melodee Manezon is right to admire it. Is there a romance about to brew between the two?
I see the place is actually still under construction – the prefabricated and unplastered brick wall behind them is in the act of being dropped into place in Panel One. Or maybe they’re merely being bricked in to starve to death. Mr Grey bears long grudges, and he never forgave the two of them for something that happened long ago.

Or maybe they’re merely being bricked in to starve to death. Mr Grey bears long grudges, and he never forgave the two of them for something that happened long ago.
Surely any children that Col Zebo (sorry, no accent mark for you) and Manezon would have would be marked with the sign of the devil.
And thanks a lot Greg, I was getting up to fix breakfast but then I read this strip and the horrid mental image that flash through my mind made me lose my appetite.
Since Mrs. Manezon teaches at Moony Uni and Zébo teaches at Pitt CC, what we are seeing here is the Moony-Pitts in Frank’s Money Pit. But I have to wonder what’s the point – is either one of these people (or both of them) married? Will Knute’s video catch them in a compromising position? Will Quill and/or Luann use that video as blackmail material to get a better grade? Of course not. This is just another “teachers are losers” reminder, from the strip that constantly made that point via Mr. Fogarty.
I can’t imagine a four year college accepting Zébo’s art classes for transfer. He is like my photography teacher who had an every photo is art attitude. Even Sac State wouldn’t accept the transfer credits.
Stay tuned for the exciting next edition of Luann Looseends, the further adventures of the beloved characters of this cartoon muddling through their world.
so Zebo did the art gallery. Now there’s a link between his character and the all the main ones. More art by Luann I hope…… I’m not wild about Ms Manzon (sp) but I guess we have to take her as well.
This is a comic and is supposed to be funny, but I seldom laugh or even smile. But this brick wall painting against brick wall struck me as funny and I actually chuckled LOL
8To me, the most interesting strip of the week! 1. I like the interaction between Manezon and Zebo.2. I think the painting of the bricks by Zebo is humorous especially because it looks a lot like the wall behind it.3. I think Greg is suggesting a joke about “high art” that is both funny and yet not mean-spirited. 4. I like what seems to be a blooming “romantic link” between Manezon and Zebo. Overall, it was just a fun effort! I hope it continues in this vein tomorrow!
OK.. I see it now… it didn’t occur to me before. It’s nice that Zebo produces his own work in addition to teaching students… and that we get to see it.
It’s Thursday already. Any sign of that big Holiday show that was supposed to draw in the locals and make for a big start for the Fuse? Any sign of the locals?
I love how Greg draws Melodee. Artists try to draw characters and setting with a sense of persepctive, so they appear 3 dimensional. Melodee is just plain 2-D, flat (especially her head & face). Perfect match for Zebo!

Mr Zebo, Zébo. Plain brick wall, Brick Wall (with a frame around it) turns into art. This art gallery may be an epic fail.
