Yes, snow in Portland! First time in eight years! Having to keep track of suet and hummingbird feeders and breaking ice of water dishes! Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or however you do the Yule celebration! Happy Catmas!

Ahh, wonderful! You would almost think that Georgia planned it so that this one would air on Christmas morning.

Oh wait, she did!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I just had a Tommy-esque situation in which I couldn’t find my Russian Blue Pushkin since last night and I was convinced he’d somehow gotten outside and lost. Turns out he had hidden in the house because he was the latest victim of the creeping crud going round my little herd. I found him tonight and force-fed him some pumpkin and water, after a nice, long cuddle. He ate and drank some on his own, afterward, so he seems to be doing better, thank God.

Well, my broken Christmas tree just stood up, my heart grew 5 sizes, I worshiped at the manger, I heard an angel get his wings, I got a bb gun for Christmas, and I bought a big goose for the Cratchets. With Tommy going home (!) my Christmas is complete.

May we all have as merry a Christmas as our boys!

Ah, panel five and you can tell Tommy’s Woman is nuzzling his head as she holds him. How do I know? I do that with one of mine – the only one who likes to be held for long periods of time.

Don’t be fooled by this 4 1/2 pound scruffball. He is now 13 pounds, healthy, happy and rules the roost with his kitty and woofy friends at my friends’ house :))

I only discovered this wonderful comic strip about 6 months ago, and it is now one of my favorites! Merry Christmas to Georgia and the whole BCN friends and family.

Merry Christmas BCN world! Santa left two squeaky dog toys (a penguin and a rain deer) and two super dooper catnip toys. The catnip was so strong that our black kitty was opening the gift bag the minute it hit the floor. Hoping for a kinder and gentler new year.

Loved the present! A new correspondent for the team!

Merry Christmas, everyone! My boys have already played with all of their toys until they have worn themselves out – each now napping with an arm around their favorite new mousie or jingle ball. Well, all except Rosie-Bell, who has brought his Goldie-fish and curled up in my lap with her. (She was his first Christmas present as a kitten, and no other toy has ever taken her spot as his favorite toy.)

sniffles Oh, the feels in this one! Again, one of my favorite arcs, and probably always will be. Love how cheerful Tommy is all the time.

Oh wow! I am opening the rest of the presents my oldest living sister sent me… and I get to the last one and it is a book. It is not a book you can buy in a store. It was published by a vanity press. It is the story of my mom’s dog “Jeepers” that she had when she was in the army during WWII. It is full of pictures from then. It is the best present of all of the presents I got.

Asking for prayers for Gentleman – another from my semi-feral colony – I can tell that he’s been injured, even without blood on him, but I can’t get close enough to try to help him. He just won’t let me, even though I can usually pet him. I’ve made him a warm nest & put out his favorite food. Just praying he survives this or lets me help him. If not, praying that it’s at least mostly painless for him & he knows I love him…

Man, I’m glad that’s over with. Now those of us who read it the first time don’t have to fight to keep from telling everyone “No, no, no,… don’t worry, things aren’t just going to be alright, they will be BETTER than alright. Elvis gets home, Tommy gets home, and there is ham for all”. One of the best Christmas tales ever, and it does deserve being in a Christmas book.

Purry Christmas to the orb and to my son, daughter , and sister, with whom i have shared the bcn site over Christmas. I’m sure Georgia has just gained more fans. The good boys are irresistible.
