Another week to let Irma answer. I want her to answer now. She likes the guest house Idea so I dont see her hesitating much. Only Greg stretching the drink.
Well, if she âcherishesâ their time together, she has to care for him.. If she should say she loves him, why not? He would take care of her and just about everything for life. She could do worse!
You wanted privacy, so you proposed at a public restaurant before you ordered your meal? Itâs not like you couldnât have gone to the Fuse and had all the privacy you wanted. And itâs not like you didnât know the waiter would be back to take your order.
I would really like to and youâre a nice guy but I just want us to remain friends. I still need time to heal from my last romance. I appreciate that you thought enough of me to consider me. thanks.

Irma Berger â âAl I Love You, but I canât marry a Man until I can see the âWhitesâ of Eyes!â
OR
âAl I Love You, but I canât Marry You. However Iâm quite Happy to Spend the Rest of My Life with You Living in Sin!â
OR
âMarriage? Iâm All in Favor, so I!â
OR
âYes! Only Please donât tell Gunther that Heâs âAdopted.â
Or
âYes, Yes, YES, Al! I Absolutely LOVE You, and I think its Wonderful that You going to build a Stockade, I Mean âGuest House,â in the backyard for the Boys!"
OR
âYes, Iâll Marry You, Al. But do We HAVE to Take Les?â
OK, everyone calm down! You know Irmaâs answer was going to be the Sat. âcliffhangerâŠâ right? The question is, will this continue on Monday or will we go back to TIffâs battle against Ann Eiffel? TBH, I vote to go back to Tiffâs battle. I want to see that resolved, first. That will make the marriage proposal for Irma a lot more interesting, I think⊠to see how that all plays out. And, maybe, just maybe, we might see a little more maturity from Les if he helps facilitate a victory for Tiff (and, Uncle Al).
I just noticed, and maybe someone else did before: Mr. Grayâs dialog balloons are square, vs. the rounded ones everyone else has⊠either he is a robot (unlikely, given this stripâs nature), or it suggests a monotone nature to his voice, and possibly, his character.
Ummm⊠âYouâre so good with the boysâ?? Irma has a funny way of defining âgoodâ. He hardly speaks to either, and wants to remove them to a doghouse* in the yard ASAP?
Doghouse, guest house, same thing. At least the dog doesnât get insulted by the blatant indication that his presence is expected to be temporary. ;p
Al is so rude. They are in a restaurant. They business cannot make money from people sitting without ordering anything. They longer they tie up the table the less money the waiter and restaurant will make. Plus other diners may be waiting for a table while Al discusses building plans. He should have stayed at home.
Oh, Mr. Gray. The way proposals are done in this strip is the guy proposes and the woman hems and haws for years and then she runs into an ex-boyfriend who is happy being married to someone else and then she proposes to the man. We have years before you are going to get an answer to this question. It doesnât matter how much privacy you have.
Heâs Ann Eiffelâs brother!!! Do you really think she learned horrid person traits alone? Heâs just quieter about it as Iâm betting we all learn.

At least if they get married they wonât need to worry about closet space. Does this guy even own a second set of clothes? Heâs following the Joe Friday model of wearing the exact same suit every single day. At least Friday had a wide variety of facial expressions though; this guy is like a piece of clip art. Same pose, same expression, same outfit. Yeesh, have fun with this one, Irma. Still, unceasing stoicism is probably a step up from Guntherâs occasional little whiny fits.
Actually, Al, it might have been a Good Thing for you that the waiter interrupted. It looks suspiciously as though Irma was not going to say âyes,â although she might not have said âno,â either. I suspect she was going to delay. And the waiter conveniently came along at the crucial momentâŠ.
The guesthouse is a âwonderful ideaâ (says Irma) but nothing is said about who will live in it. Iâm guessing she may not be keen on ousting Gunther from her house. But if so, maybe Gunther would prefer to move to campus housing and be nearer to Tiffany. Also, as far as we know, Quill is still living there (heâs a Mooney student) though he may be out of town a lot. What about that?

If her answer were âYESâ, she would have said it without all the lead-up to her answer. Sheâs going to say ââŠ.but, noâ. Smart lady.

If you wanted privacy, you shouldnât have started the conversation in a restaurant before you ordered.
