Trump’s Homeland Security: BABIES IN CAGES.

Why would anyone expect that RepubliCONs who don’t care that children’s brains are splattered by gunshot across school classrooms (as the price of gun manufacturer profits) would care about children ripped from the arms of parents LEGALLY applying for asylum and locked in cages as they scream in terror? (Ruled illegal by a Republican-appointed federal judge.)

On Faux “News” —

Laura Ingraham says it is like sending kids to summer camp. Puh leeze. I don’t remember any summer camp where kids were put in cages (or buildings with chain link walls) and all contact with parents (who don’t even know where they are) forbidden.

Steve Doocy says the children are not in cages. Not cages. He grew up on a farm, so it is just buildings with walls made out of chain link. Stephen Colbert noted that while the rest of us saw children put in cages like zoo animals, Doocy sees children treated like farm animals.

And Ann Coulter says these are “child crisis actors.” Yep. Every time young people reveal uncomfortable truths about TrumpubliKKKON atrocities, they are “crisis actors.” If those three-, four- and five-year-olds are “crisis actors,” they are the most talented actors I’ve ever seen. Usually small children are very difficult to work with. The talent is so authentic! And always on the first take! That extraordinary talent alone should qualify them for EB-1 visas (for those with exceptional special skills — you know, the same kind Melania used to enter the USA with).

Ann Coulter says they are reading scripts. THEY ARE BABIES. They can’t read. They can’t even read Spanish (or other indigenous local languages), much less English.

hmmm… looks like HomeLand Security is protecting the US from it’s own future generation.

Seriously? Show me one person who said they don’t care about children getting shot. You seem to really want to use a reductio ad absurdum argument just to make sure you can get your cronies into a position of power where they can force everyone to bend a knee. It is possible to enforce the law of the land while still respecting human dignity. Trump and his Republican boot lickers choose to ignore that these people are human beings – just like them. Maybe that is the rub, they do not consider them to be fully human: untermenschen.

A law that does not respect humanity is immoral.

Politics aside, that’s the way most entrenched governments handle new ideas or people who bring good ideas that differ from long held procedure. The natural result is no improvement in either thinking or operation, and no improvement in the caliber of people who choose government careers. Stultifying, to say the least.

Well they could let the kids run loose unsupervised and hurt themselves and others. The kids are with their parents and the parents chose this.

I presumed they would have been separated from the kids as soon as they arrived.

I seem to recall Duke from Doonesbury one time assuring Honey that “there are few child care problems that can’t be solved with duct tape.” This would appear to be the solution to the rest.

I really do get a little outraged, when I see parents walking their kids on leashes, like they were dogs !

A number of years ago, the author of Bloom County, Berkeley Breathed, won a Pulitzer prize for one of his strips in the Funny Pages. This cartoon by Wiley should be submitted as well.

I pass several schools almost daily, and guess what they have? Surrounding the playgrounds are chain-link fences, just like the ones used to protect the illegal immigrant’s children, to serve the purpose of protecting the school’s children, and since liberals have taken control of what now passes for the education system in this country that fence must be approved by them.

I see the Refugee kids, but where are the Employee’s kids?

Well, hope everybody enjoyed arguing about whether to leave the kids separated or put them in the same cages as all the adults with no regard for their safety. It is now officially a moot point and nobody will discuss it anymore. Why? Because the new argument will be about the Supreme Court nominee and nobody with give 2 cents about the kids. They will be as forgotten as David Hogg or less! The liberals don’t care, they just want to hate Trump. Moving on to the next argument in 3…2…1…

As a non-American, and I really ask this question to better understand your cultural commotion, there are two things that I don’t really understand:

1) When your politicians talk about taking your country back, or making America great again, why does it always mean a time when America was considered pretty much fully ‘white’ (at least in their minds). Was America not great when the Native Americans were in charge, before the invasion of the folks on the wooden boats?

2) When your ancestors invaded the US, did they get documents from the Native Americans giving them the right to be invaded and have their great country ‘taken over’? I mean do you guys have the documentation to prove that your initial family, who came to the US, generation(s) ago, came to the US with all the right papers, or does it not matter because you are white and ‘documentation’ to you means alternative reality?

There is zero way to defend what was done and is being done to these children. Anyone who does so exposes themselves as a monster, and that’s why they’re so defensive about it. Thank you Wiley for this strip—it is so very very needed.

Don’t you find it strange that no one griped when Obama’s Homeland Security put kids in cages and gave them only plastic sheets on a concrete floor…No, you don’t…hypocrisy…
