Hey, I can think of LOTS of reasons to “disturb” Al and Irma. And it’s got NOTHING to do with Les and Gunther.

So there’s NO “Yelling” in the Gulag, and no Crying in baseball, eh Al? GOT It. Nice going “keeping the peace” and congratulations on Your first official contentious On-Strip conversation to Your “Rode hard and put Upon, Step-Son,” Gunther. No doubt that’ll get His “Mind Right.”

Now Hang up Al, so the Lads can resume fighting. And THANKS for NOT getting to the bottom of what’s troubling them.

Al is only concerned about being interrupted, taking away time with Irma. He is not concerned about the boys at all. He is only irritated that Irma is directing her attention to the boys and not on him and he is calling them to ask if there is a reason for them to disturb HIM. He is oblivious to the fact that the boys don’t like each other. All he wants is to make Irma happy and building the guest house for Gunther is a nice gesture but putting Les in there with Gunther just so he could keep his eye on him was not a good solution. That is what you get, Al, for masterminding a scheme like this – two boys fighting. Want a solution? Put one of the boys in an apartment close by.

Daddy finally, just what these two Male Authority, father starved lads, need. You know with the current generation, and given expenses involved, it’s not unusual for young people their age to be still at home, or to return home, so Al’s setting them up in a guest house is not unusual. My bet is that they will calm down,. If they were going to really fight, they would have done it, and unless Les can afford it, or Gunther goes to Yale, or moves on Mooney University’s campus, which he will not, they aren’t going anywhere.

Al, everyone told you not to build the guesthouse but you did anyway and everyone knew that putting these two boys in it would get these kind of results.

My vote for the most unattractive couple in the comics. I mean they have nothing going for them, and they can’t be that old because they both still work. Heck, Betty White is in her nineties and is way hotter than Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee here. Racquel Welch, Barbara Eden, Nancy DeGroot, all great examples. Greg has to stop using Wallmart as his character inspiration.

They have—lack of—daddy issues.

So is Irma an android or ios person?

Al is saying if there’s no emergency – then the yelling is all BS. Give it up and start fresh with your head on straight tomorrow.

This arc is a friendly reminder of why I will never have a roommate.

Wait until Irma finds out that Gunther started it.

I hope the pause has made understand to Al that he have to go to the guest house and talk with his boys face to face.

The only way that those people could get along peacefully is if of them was dead.

actually you took away gunther’s home and forced him into that living situation he never asked for with a ‘room mate’ who bullied him in high school.

I like Al Gray; he is the positive male role model both Gunther & Les never had.

All this started over gunther being over protective. I say everyone sleep on it and see how things are in the morning. Or in the case of this strip, next wednesday.

Men over 18 should be on their own. Grow up and move out. One needs to join the army. Quit playing the NPC game.

I hope this ends this arc soon. But even if the fight stops these two are along way from friendship or even mutual respect. It’s an awful situation especially for Gunther.

Time for these boys to grow ip and get jobs and move into thier own places. you know, pay thier own way. At least Les. He is the interloper here.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch . . .

Well, that was an anticlimax.

I get the sense that Mr. Gray really wants to keep Irma & himself separate from the boys as much as possible. Umm…

Gunther should have answered the last question with a resounding “NO!” then ended the call.

IF (and that’s a Big If) GnK have managed to move an authoritative male figure into the Gunther/Irma/Leslie mix, it could be a brilliant move. Besides squaring up the two cousins, it could introduce a whole new host of relationship/pairing/mentoring gags and arcs. Tiffany is added to the mix due to the boys and The Dinner.

A whole new Frank and Nancy alternative???

Why are they calling Les and Gunther boys? They are no longer teenagers! They are grown men!

The answer to the last question is also NO, unless they want the boys to lie. And they are Men, not Boys, even though Al and Irma treat them like children.

It’s time for Greg to tell his Mother he is moving out. Free board is not worth living with a liar and crook. Actually, it is past time.

It is getting difficult to come back to this; I’ve been sending info flyers around to people about collecting supplies for folks in the Panhandle of Florida, here in Central Florida. Right now, some of our Sheriff’s deputies are up there, serving on the search and (hoped for) recovery detail, still trying to find some of the missing, while volunteers clear debris out of the streets. City police are going to escort a truck filled with hygiene supplies, bug spray, more tarps and generators up this weekend. So I will be joining the detail packing boxes. Difficult to feel deep sorrow for Gunther, Tiffany or Les, in view of the real world…

They’re living in a separate structure that you made them live in against their will, Al. Maybe their argument isn’t your affair.

Does Mr Gray ever relax or does he wear that suit to bed?

This is just classic “Odd Couple” stuff. They will find their synergy eventually I think.

Two men fighting over a woman – it’s been going on for millennia. Rarely, though, have the two “men” meekly submitted when their Daddy told them to stop.

When is Gunther going to grow a pair and MOVE OUT???? He’s not in high school anymore.

Red flag for Mr. Gray! This calls for an in-person visit to the Boys’ Gulag. And if it is a post food-fight mess, maybe it will be time to re-think the housing arrangement….

Wasn’t Al raising Les? Seems like he did a pretty poor job of it.

Will this boredom ever end? Who cares about Gunther and Les anymore? They are both unlikable at this point.

So as the sun sets over Guam, Mafia king pin Al and his rejected Stepford Wife prototype, Irma rue the day that the French Foreign Legion shut down and could no longer take losers like the boys in the shed.

Irma looks just like Gunther with a wig on.

I’m glad Al didn’t try to mediate. These guys are too old to have someone working out their issues for them. It’s time to start working out issues like adults.
