Part of me was deeply afraid of what might be in Gunth’s bedroom

Quit it Luann, you’re pushing Gunther into a world of hurt. “Behold the turtle. Every time he sticks his neck out he gets his head chopped off.”

For the love of God, Gunther, sack up already!

This guy is gonna die without ever managing to cross second base. Everything he says and does seems deliberately designed to be as sexually unappealing as possible. He even manages to make the Picard PJs seem downright off-putting. Patrick Stewart could pull off that sleepwear, Gunthie. You can’t.

The irony of this situation is that LuAnn went to Gunther’s because Pru told her to get off her smart phone.

Gunther, you’d better be wary the next time a young woman wants to play “let’s pretend” with you!

Gunther says, “What if she wants to meet up?” How sad is that! – Gunther sees it as the flaw in the system – he might actually have to meet up with somebody. Meanwhile, after Luann’s posting – I’ll grab my phone and stand in line.

Ha! The sewing machine is in the background! There is where the major points will be.

Luann may soon learn a lesson about making good choices…

Interesting. Since each’s profile was posted on the other’s phone, they are the gatekeepers for each other! You might say they can be setting up double-blind dates, which might be useful in science, but not much else.

And there goes his ego. Poof! In a little puff of smoke. Accompanied be a death knell of e-funeral bells. Luann snatches defeat from the thrill of victory. :o(

Isn’t the point here that within a nanosecond of Luann’s profile going “live” she has three interested suitors? Whereas Gunther had his up for a longer time (perhaps an hour or so) and only had interest from Bets?

This is rapidly veering into train wreck territory.

Maybe it’s too early for me, she posted “her” pretend profile on “his” phone? While apparently she posted his pretend profile on “her” phone? So she would be getting his interested responses, while he would be getting her interested responses? Explain that to me somebody. Maybe after that is done, or I drink my morning coffee (MD where are you?) I will figure it out. Meanwhile, hilarity ensues, although it’s confused.

All those texts to LuAnn say “Send Nudes?”

Man, Gunther thinks he is “the great pretender.” Glad Lu is trying to help him. He’s too old to keep pretending, it is time for a wake up call, even if she has to play him this way. He’d married his mom if he could have. Thank goodness Irma married Hitch. Time to stop playing Gunthy!

Okay, coat’s off, they’re in the bedroom, what comes next should not require technology.

Actually those pajamas don’t look half bad. I was expecting material with Capt. Picard’s image all over it. Yikes!!!! Now THAT would be weird.

Well I guess this is a Valentine’s Day boost for Luann. But will G&K save the day for Gunther? Their track record for G-man portends at the opposite.

Gunthy Unger does. And I think that’s one of his star trek uniforms. I hope he misplaced his ears.

Maybe next time these two should play doctor and patient instead of single and lonely.

So, now will we be hearing/seeing the three responses that Luann has received in virtually a nanosecond after posting her profile? It is probable that she may get a bunch more over the next few hours/days Luann time. Will the focus continue on to explore Luann’s dating app exploits? Will it continue with exploration of Gunther’s dating app exploits? While his return response rate is apparently slower on the minute to minute basis… it does seem like they could both be on a fast track for lots and lots and lots of available dating options.

I am glad and hope the dating app responses keep the two of them from pursuing romance between the two of them…. the new characters will allow each of them to grow and develop more.

I suppose for further “hilarity ensues” comedy…. Greg could focus on having the dating app people they do read about or meet be “uncouth” by their standards. However, that could be perceived as rather negative, so I hope that is not the route taken.

Will Bets be intrigued by the Picardy PJs? Perhaps. What if Bets sends back an image of her modeling her own Deanna Troi or Tasha Yar PJs….. and what if she has a “come hither” demeanor on her face to boot?!?

Looking back on last Thursday, it was not the point. Luann said, “Relax. It’s just pretend.” Now there are multiple real (in their world) people involved, Fortunately, in the Luanniverse none of them are likely to be predators or even serious creeps.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We know. Girls get the most spam. Big deal.

I’m disappointed. I thot they’d do somethiing else in the bedroom. But at least LuAnn’s profile has the phone is ringing off the hook!

A natural consequence of introducing Luann to the world.

This comic strip is making me reflectively refrain from engaging in stories.

How many plot lines are dangling? Ann Eiffel and Tiffany. The one girl who didn’t show up to class but got A’s. Jack going to Vet School and maybe liking Luann. The inspector showing up to Brad’s house regarding the un-registered updates. The Souffle Lingerie lady Tiffany called. The scam that Les ran, which only seemed to have a payout of him figuring out the manager at the Fuse was gay, and therefore not interested in him. Mr. Gray and wife had something going on, I can’t remember.

For a while I read through comics specifically to see what happens next, but by the time they get back to a plot line (if they ever do), I really don’t care anymore. I imagine this will be the same.

Watch, Gunther or Luann will be about to lean in for a kiss, and boom story line about Shannon’s deadbeat dad. Or Gunther will be about to meet his blind date and we’ll launch into a plot line about Luanne’s parents needing new wiring in their house.

Gunther some cans are better left unopened.

Hey, it’s a COMIC for God’s sake…..

Could be worse. The dating site might offer VINEGAR VALENTINES like were used 100 – 150 years ago. They featured nasty messages to send to those whose attentions were unwanted.

I kind of doubt that Gunther has the legs for those jammies. Do you think we will find out?

At least this is realistic. From what I hear from friends, if you’re a female, you can expect a barrage of messages from these sites. Most are from losers of course.

Can you imagine that ones responding to Luann are Jack, Aaron and Quill?

If all of you think this is a particularly pathetic situation for both these characters, then ruminate on THIS : You’re the one spending Valentines Day posting on a comic strip website instead of doing whatever with a significant other.

Well done Luann! Now she has to go to some dates, with this people, to be really even with Gunther and convince him to meet Bets. I think it could be very positive for her, but how will this situation develop with Jack?

I’m wondering if Les will return, hear talking and interaction in the bedroom, jump to conclusions and spread rumors on social media.

So Luann is outdoing Gunny by about three-to-one (if more dingalings aren’t hiding behind the speech balloon). Figures. What’s next, then?

Pitts has no code of conduct, no rules, no government, no religious influence, almost no family or adult supervision, so why aren’t Luann and Gunther just going at it?
