Ox is coming up with some great ideas. Now, He NEEDS suggest one more. I’m thinking the Dean (Of Students) or the Campus “Barney Fife” may shut this gig down “IF” it stays on campus. Ox would do well to suggest Tiffany moving it to the to the Fuse.

The Fuse: Restaurant, Café, Dinner Theater, Nail Salon, Hey, It WORKS. Al Gray likes Tiffany, and as Fuse manager, he may be on board with a new enterprise.

I think Pru would support it too:

    https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2015/11/19

As far as how Tiffany could run a nail salon and go to school, well she COULD drop out for a semester or two. THAT would finally get Tom’s “attention.” Or Tiff COULD “hire away” the two ladies that does her nails now, from the “All about YOU” Salon as “employees.”

    This COULD “Work”……..,

I posted this late yesterday, I thought it might be worth giving the light of day to:

Tiff could go at this from another angle, but I hate to see her drop out of college to accomplish it. But when dealing with someone like Ann Awful, dire circumstances sometimes require extreme measures. If, by some chance, her little venture is shut down, Tiff could quit college, move back home with Daddy Dearest, and tell him that Annie told her of his financial troubles and suggested that she drop out of college as he could no longer afford it. Of course that would be a lie, but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. She could bolster her side by showing that Annie has already taken her credit card and is monitoring her expenses as well as showing concern that, according to Annie, Daddy – O is going down financially. That might just take him by surprise, just finding out that he is in a financial crisis that may not exist. I am certain that this would indeed open a channel of communication with her old man as well as maybe opening his eyes as to what Annie is up to, including her fake lingerie scam. Unless he’s already PW’d and is too far gone. Worth a try though. Annie and Tiff living under the same roof would certainly give G&K some good story fodder.

It does seem like The Fuse would be a good spot for Tiff to start her nail business. There is probably a small space even 8 X 8 that could be enclosed with curtains for privacy. Tiff might start by giving freebies to 3 or 4 of her friends, with the idea others would ask where they got that done. Starting out at one customer per day at $40 – at least Tiff wouldn’t have to order a tea bag when she went to a restaurant.

Not necessarily – many health departments are not regulating nail salons, or tattoo parlors for that matter. We do not really know what part of the Country they are in do we?

Uh, Ox? I know you’re trying to be helpful and all, but I wouldn’t go out in public like that unless you have the exact same colors painted on your face… and, preferably, on game day. (It’ll save you a great deal of trouble.)

Tiff should quickly branch out into full salon services. She does more with hair and makeup anyway, and guys are more apt to come in for face paint and hair than for nails.

I’m sad to relate, I share Schrodinger’s Dog‘s pessimism here. If Greg’s recent history with Tiff holds, soon Tiff’s world will continue to crash and burn. But who knows? Greg may relent. It is springtime after all.

I find Tiffany’s ability to absorb adversity to be remarkable. She has glommed on to Ox’s positive vibes and is using it as a springboard. Let us hope that there is water in the pool.

Is Ox a student at Moony U as well? He was of course a classmate at Pitts HS but I don’t remember it ever being mentioned that he also headed over to Moony U (with Gunther, Bernice, and Tiffany). We’ve only been seeing him working at The Fuse.

You know you have a point. I wonder though where the initial money will come up to set it up wherever it lands? I bet OX? He is probably from the richest family in Pittsville, but one of his charms is that he is such a humble, ordinary type guy. If he believes in her I bet he could could up with the money she needs to do all you suggest, although if they do draw that MD, he should be able to get a financial return at some point, as well as the satisfaction.

Come on Gnk, I think the sentiment is that Luannverse help Tiffany do something she is good at, will help her immensely being the best Tiffany she can be—making people feel food, will make her feel good—Ox can help finance it, and help with getting Moony students behind it, it could be in the Fuse, those two people she goes to could come work with her, she could make her own money, be busy, interact, where is the downside? Whither Tom and Ann? They are good for each other. He wants that kind of woman, needs her. Maybe she needs to be a succubus with one man, although that means she will remain in Pittsville, near Les, which I bet she might want, but the arcs are endless. Come on Gnk we’re way ahead of you here. Lets do some version of this arc. Our poor rich little girl needs a break really bad.

I think this arc is as much about Ox (showing his abilities and creativity) as it is about Tiffany trying to figure out how to make $ on her own. Greg has a way of plucking a character out of relative mediocrity (or worse) and putting that person front and center.

Oxford and Tiffany are very close to a business relationship now. This could become a close working relationship, too. After that, who knows what could develope?

But I still think Ox and Tiff are a great duo….

She should start small, sticking just with nails for starters. Doing it on campus would probably not be allowed. She could work out a deal with Al Gray at the Fuse. He would probably be able to speed up the process for any permits or licenses she might need. I am not familiar with California laws but I know it’s generally regulation-happy.

Tiffany has talent. Now Bern is going to stop her business. Tiffany, take a manicure course at the local beauty college, get your license, and open up your business at The Fuse warehouse complex.
