Facebook won’t let me share today (I share BCN every day) today I got a message that says “can not post. This post contains content other Facebook users have reported as abusive”Are the raccoon mafia now manipulating Facebook? What the heck is going on? Can anyone else share today’s comic to FB?
Your mission Tommy, should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate the mercenary band of racoons and find out what happen to Goldie’s people. The Racoon images you are looking at are of Junk & Gutter, leaders of the Racoon mob, and are not to be underestimated.
Your IM Force team has been assembled and is on sight in the neighborhood.
As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught by Animal Control, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
This cartoon strip will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck Tommy
Georgia on Facebook explains what Goldie Gotcha Day is “One year ago today we brought Goldie into our home! It would still be a couple of weeks before the Boys met her nose to nose, and a couple of months before we officially adopted her. We never expected to adopt another cat, but she won our hearts. Even—almost?—Lupin’s. Happy Gotcha Day to Goldie! We love you!!!”
Natasha throws up her paws and shouts, "We will fight them in the alley! We will fight them in the trash bins! For are we Cats or are we Mice?!! Tommy, looking confused as he raises his paw and stammers, “But, errrrrrr?”
Happy Friday, Orbsters! It’s a beautiful, crisp fall day here. Looking forward to a calm weekend after spending several hours Wednesday night in the emergency room with partner, who scared the bejesus out of me. He complained of dizziness and pressure in his chest while we were out playing trivia at the local brewery, and then actually asked me to call 911 (unheard of)!!! After several hours, two EKGs, two rounds of blood work, and two bags of I.V. fluids, the diagnosis was dehydration, which causes dizziness, etc. by causing blood pressure to drop very low. He’s fine now, but I want to remind everyone to please drink plenty of water, we tend to forget that when the weather cools off. And coffee and beer don’t count—they actually contribute to dehydration! So everyone have a great weekend and please stay hydrated! ; )
Ok, survived a day long blackout yesterday to discover Sophie is making Tommy go undercover? I’ll have to check out yesterday’s strip, but right now she looks like a coward to me. At least Tommy has Natasha as his muscle.
And in other annoying raccoon news, I’m getting ready to put Flaming Squirrel Sauce (hot pepper oil) on my bird seed to stop the annoying little beasts from destroying my new feeders. (I’m surrounded by woods with plenty of food plus a neighbor who feeds everything feral so they are doing this for the heck of it, not from hunger.)
Hi everyone!! The Man is running a live charity event for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation this weekend! He and friends play horror and Halloween video games for three days straight! (Kinda like a telethon) I have donated some prizes for folks who donate to win, (including signed copies of ‘Lupin Leaps In’ and original artwork!) you can watch it here: http://nightmarathon.net/ (Sit it out if you scare easily, some of the games can be spooky!)
Tommy is just soooo happy about this! As are the robber mice (especially Natasha), of course. But I wonder, as much as he missed his Woman, if Tommy misses the adventurous life he led once upon a time?
If you can’t donate, even just watching or sharing the event helps so much! The more eyes we can get on the event, hopefully the more funds we can raise for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation! This event means a lot personally to the Man, he works on it and organizes this year round. <3 A lot goes into planning, practicing the games, and scheduling to make the next three days happen!
I’m not sure what they hope to accomplish. Obviously the raccoons don’t have Goldie’s people stashed away somewhere. They need to find Goldie a new and better home (in the big pink house). What in heck is going on with auto correct!? It changed “new and” to “headband”.
Though I’d share this: "Because of their intelligence and nimble forelimbs, even inexperienced raccoons are easily capable of unscrewing jars, uncorking bottles and opening door latches, with more experienced specimens having been recorded to open door knobs. In a study by the ethologist H. B. Davis in 1908, raccoons were able to open 11 of 13 complex locks in fewer than 10 tries and had no problems repeating the action when the locks were rearranged or turned upside down. Davis concluded they understood the abstract principles of the locking mechanisms and their learning speed was equivalent to that of rhesus macaques.
In a study by B. Pohl in 1992, raccoons were able to instantly differentiate between identical and different symbols three years after the short initial learning phase. Stanislas Dehaene reports in his book The Number Sense that raccoons can distinguish boxes containing two or four grapes from those containing three. In research by Suzana Herculano-Houzel and other neuroscientists, raccoons have been found to be comparable to primates in density of neurons in the cerebral cortex, which they have proposed to be a neuroanatomical indicator of intelligence." Those cameras look awfully heavy for mice. I’m beginning to suspect that this project might not be entirely successful.

Elton John said it best about Saturday Night
All of the mates gather ’round the gate,
The gang’s here and ready to rock,
Violet and Alice are carrying the packs,
Ready for Trash O’clock!
Tommy’s all decked out in his Tupperware armor
And Agnes is dressed for success,
Natasha ain’t cute in her thorn-covered suit!
Beware, you don’t wanna mess!
…….
We don’t worry about no Trash Pandas,
We’ll find out what’s goin’ down!
Today is the day for our truth finding!
And we never mess around!
Gather around the trash cans now,
With Tupperware Tommy and friends!
Trash O’clock is the time I like,
Gonna see how this ends!
Ooh! Trash O’clock, Trash O’clock, Trash O’clock, Trash O’clock, Trash O’clock is the time!
