So, Phil stopped stalling during court cases when the early bird dinner times started?

From what I understand, if you are not in check and you cant move without going into check, then it is a stalemate.

My wife and I once owned a business and had a dispute with the IRS. We had a winning case, however our lawyer told us that the government would send wave after wave of lawyers at us (at government expense) and that although we may eventually win the case, it would take decades and tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees. Only big corporations could afford to do that.

“I never have taken a step to one side, and I’ll prove to you that I won’t change my ways if I have to keep standing here 59 days!” [North-Going Zax]“Never budge.” That’s my rule [says the South-Going Zax]. “Never budge in the least. Not an inch to the west, not an inch to the east.” I’ll stand here not budging. I can, and I will, if it makes you and me and the whole world stand still!" Well, of course the world didn’t stand still. The world grew. In a couple of years, the new highway came through, and they built it right over those two stubborn Zax, and left them there, standing un-budged in their tracks.

When my son asked me whether he should become a lawyer I suggested he become a pimp instead. As a pimp he’d be held in higher regard by society and his colleagues have higher ethical standards.

    Has anyone else ordered the

The 2020 Battle For The White House chess set?

I can’t wait for mine to arrive. I’ve got a big wooden mallet and I’m going to take out some of my frustrations.

With a whack whack here and a whack whack there.

Don’t forget to use all applicable safety precautions.

If you want to see a dramatic rendition of this corporate strategy, check out the movie Dark Waters, about how DuPont dragged out litigation over the adverse health effects of its Teflon® money machine for decades.

Has been a while since I have played, highly improbable to block a knight, a ‘castle’ might still be an option. With no clear look at the ‘board’, very difficult to ascertain the situation. Knowing Wiley’s dislike for POTUS, this particular installment may be more about Impeachment, and majority of US Senate being Republican (more pieces on the board) and Phil (delay tactic) is in denial.
