After reading the first panel, I now have the image of the Woman and the Man out in the yard of the BPH, dancing in a circle while chanting and waving a carton of milk and a loaf of bread.
Its snowing here this morning. Talk about your topical strip… Anyway as soon as I got up from bed, Belle went and laid down on my pre-warmed pillow and Giblet curled up on middle of the pre-warmed bed. They both looked and me with pitying eyes, as if to say, silly human going out in the snow and leaving a purrfectly warm bed…sad, silly human.
My book is due back from the Editor this Friday (first edit). I wonder if there is enough red-ink in all of Britain for her to mark up the work with the countless corrections that will be needed. I am still trying to find an illustrator and I have no idea if anyone will publish the story. I guess those questions will be answered in all good time.
rescue kitty update: Mia is doing well just had her fixed she wants to play rough with Midnight but today she is put in my kitty isolation room so she can heal and not hurt herself. Bella has a Respitory infection and will go to the vet today.
Liza lol shes old and sleeps on my pillow until i get home she is in her Im old and happy sleeping stage LOL
There’s an Aussie band called King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They’re a Melbourne psychedelic-acid-rock band. Somehow, I don’t think Robin is likely a fan.
Yup, Elvis is on to something. Flashlights are great in blackouts, as are certain camp lanterns. And what do they require typically? Batteries. They won’t provide energy like Elvis seems to be thinking, but we prefer to have plenty of spares in case of a blackout.
I wonder where Goldie is right now? I’m sure, wherever she is in the BPH, she’s more than happy that she can watch the weather from inside … the view is much nicer and much warmer.

A lot of incisive, insightful questions from the news desk this week!
GreasyOldTam about 5 years ago
Batteries are certainly possible, but not on short notice, and they’d probably have to mortgage one of their kids to afford it.

A fully charged cat can run wild for about an hour (usually in the middle of the night) and then has to recharge for 23.

Lupin is always trying to eat generators? :-)

Exactly, Elvis! Flashlights, lamps, powered by batteries!.

Oh, Lupin, you don’t need batteries! You’re a solar-powered kitty!

You all forgot toilet paper. The proper chant is “milk, bread toilet paper”

No blizzards in our forecast (knock on wood). Did groceries, so we have plenty of bread, milk, and the other necessities of life on hand.

I Will Survive – Gloria Gaynor
At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live with no bread & milk – besides
I spent oh so many nights worrying you were on the way
As you grew strong / But I learned how to sing this song
And so you’re back / From outer space
I just checked the latest forecast with a sad look upon my face
I should have changed that stupid channel, I should have moved to Miami
If I’d known for just one second you’d be back to bother me
Go on now, go, blow out to sea
Just turn around now / ‘Cause you’re not welcome anymore
Weren’t you the one who tried to take away electricity?
Do you think I’d crumble
Did you think I’d have pb and iced coffee?
Oh no, not I, I will survive
Oh, as long as I know how to keep warm, I know I’ll stay alive
I’ve got all this bread to eat
And I’ve got all my milk to drink and I’ll survive
I will survive, hey, hey
