A sign I once saw in my dental hygienist’s office : Everyone smiles in the same language.

He’s right, this made me smile.

I think we have to go back to 2010 to see a smile like those in panel 3, and I don’t think we’ve ever seen a closed-mouth smile like that.

Made me happy but I feel like crying as well.

I appreciate Pig’s (and by extension Stephan’s) efforts to brighten an otherwise gloomy and uncertain time.

Unfortunately, there are idiots capable of taking offense at this. I wonder if Stephan had this story in mind.

i think that’s the first time I’ve seen Goat smile

When a virus begins to engage us/ and the thing is extremely contagious/ the smile that you ask/ is behind a damn MASK/ and the death rate is simply outrageous !

Yeah, this is probably the first time that we’ve ever actually seen Goat smile like that. However, I doubt that that sign would also work on Rat. Though, if my Uncle Bobby were still alive (he died back in 2018 and this is one of his favorite comic strips), he would really find this particular strip touching.

Yesterday morning I joined the geezers at Krogers to buy some groceries. I had a nice conversation with the young lady who checked me out and as I left I thanked her for being there. She in turn thanked me for appreciating her. And yes smiles are contagious and wonderful.

I smile, but no one seems to notice… maybe it’s the mask I’m wearing.

Too sentimental. You can’t smile away a deadly virus. Pig and Goat look odd, smiling that way. Pig looks good with his super happy open mouth grin. It’s a good thing Rat isn’t pictured here. In a strip a couple of decades ago, he tried to smile, and his head more or less exploded! And still would, no doubt, at a self-deluding American president with severe mental disabilities who mistakenly thinks he’s doing a good job.

I always smile at bacon.

Fewer muscles too for we lazy retirees.

I saw a billboard a few months ago, “Depression Kills – Let Hope Help!” Funny thing is my niece is named Hope.

Stephan, nice to see you reflecting on current events.

I generally cycle about every day. I always give a big smile, wave and say hello or have a great day type thing to everybody. It generally illicits the same response. Joy and happiness can be contagious also!!!

My elder neighbors across the lane and I “flash” each other with our Atomic Beam flashlights each day at noon from the bay windows. His wife gets a charge out of it too. We stand on the porch and send air hugs! We have a laugh and keep in touch. (All seniors)
