Danae has a hatred of slugs… or is that leeches? I wonder if the cliff leap will lead us on an adventure to the land of Giant Slugs. Maybe she will become friends with them.
When I was little, my older siblings used to take us on a “penny walk.” We’d walk to the end of the block and flip the coin twice. Two heads meant turn left. Two tails was turn right. One heads, one tails meant go straight. Never knew where it’d take us, but it was fun. Somehow, it always ended up back at home.
The Three Princes of Serendip had a well-defined objective and destination in mind when they began the journey. The many unexpected adventures they had along the way gave rise to the term serendipity. What happens when you jump off a cliff with your eyes closed isn’t serendipity – it’s stupidity culminating in an accident.
Just keep going like that and you will eventually meet someone who is willing to plan your journey for you – a cult, a business acquaintance, a government, a boss…
sigh- just look at what this country has become- division, anger, hatred, being banned from other countries- who would have ever thought the USA would find itself as a rudderless scow going over the falls- sigh

I know a few people like that . They can’t think past the end of their nose. I’m always the one cleaning up the mess. Dad comes to mind.

That’s all right, that technique doesn’t usually work much better when the horse keeps their eyes open. :-0

No problem… Cartoon physics to the rescue! Everybody’s safe until Lucy opens her eyes. Hmmm… is there a metaphor for something here?

Well, it looks like there is going to be some excitement. Excitement does make for an interesting adventure. Soooo, mission accomplished.

Without a destination, there’s no journey by definition. At best all you have is a wander… If course, ‘all that wander are not lost’, but most are….

think they will pass Calvin and Hobbs on the way down?

That journey looks suspiciously Homer-ic. Are we to find out that Lucy is yet another incarnation of Duncan?
Stay tuned..
