So another one is pulling the plug. Hopefully it is not for health related reasons. For age, or desire to do something else are acceptable, however.

I like the headline of the newspaper in the second panel! “Our #1 Plugger”.

I hope that he has a good nest-egg set up for his retirement.

“Plugger” is another former Jeff MacNelly strip that Mr. Boskin worked on.

I’m glad he’s retiring and not going to the pen. I’ve enjoyed Shoe for a long time, and was pleasantly surprised that the last transition was seamless.

Ben Lansing, a talented cartoonist, illustrator, web designer (and Richmonder) will continue art production on “Shoe.” Ben has actually been working with us on the strip for five years, initially doing color, but a couple years ago he began producing most of the daily strips, and I did the Sundays. He’s now doing most of the Sunday strips, as well, and he’ll also take over completely in August.

Hope someone takes over… Shoe is one of my favorites.

aww come on. so many comics have been eliminated over this past week and now Shoe may be retiring? say it ain’t so!

I doubt these comics are “going away” it is just a retirement of one the team. I’m sure the team can handle it.
