So happy to see Gene. Have missed him and his family.

He missed the Scott H Biram Wow’em With Chickens Tutorials.

That proves what I have always said: university business courses are useless. Go to uni to learn philosophy, chemistry, engineering, medicine, law, or something similarly rigorous. But forget the “business” junk. They don’t even mention chickens.

Proves the point; “Having a genuine interest in what you’re selling is the main thing, although having a charming lil’ girl and her pets helps repeat business !”

Chickens in the yard beats TV every day!

The principal ingredient in most of today’s marketing isn’t chickens, it’s “chicks”.

Philosophy? Talking about useless…..

If they had a web site they could advertise it with pictures of Meg and her brood. It would be chick(en) bait.

I live in an urban neighborhood and backyard chicken coops seem to be everywhere now.

I vote for puppies and kittens as failsafe attractions.

Reminds me of the Hawaiian island of Kauai where chickens run wild everywhere

Ybor City (Tampa, Florida) is also famous for its’ free range chickens, though there were a whole lot more in the early 1900s.

Is it me, or has Meg gotten bigger since we last saw her?

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Meg or Gene’s wife but the hair color and everything looks wrong to me.

It’s so good to see this young family again. I have especially missed Meghan (sp?).

I’ve also noticed that produce this year is more bountiful where I live. Anyone else noticed this? If so, any theories as to why?

Dear complaint department: we did not have any resolution or answer as to why Janis was so withdrawn in last Friday’s strip.

Fortunately my company paid for my masters degree. What I learned? I don’t want to be a manager… Thirty years as a happy tech engineer who can sit in a meeting and tell managers why they are full of it. Fortunately in my company an experienced tech can make more than a manager.

No course mentions “The Chickens”

Texas A&M kind of mentions Chickens somewhere during your matriculation.

Some things are just so obvious that you forget to mention them

I don’t know about the rest of you, but my engineering economics and business course as an undergrad used a chicken farm example to look at how to factor capacity analysis into a business model. As it turns out there isn’t that much you can do to increase the rate of egg laying in a chicken and at some point (a couple of years?) they stop laying eggs.

Chickens are great. The roosters in Key West get up way too early and screech about it to everyone!

Maybe they mentioned attention-getting devices? It appears chickens (and a cute kid tending them) are in that category.

I wouldn’t cross the street to see a homely kid and her chickens.
