So, it’s confirmed that they inherited the money before Faith was killed. I suppose she might have apprived of the car because she likely would not have been killed so easily if she were going home by car.
To have so much fortune and misfortune at the same time… Considering how their sister was “taken” I hope the ladies will give strong consideration to their own safety. Dying from a long term illness would have been easier to take.
This feels more like a soap opera than Dick Tracy. You have the tragic death sister, and the irresponsible young thing and the older responsible sister with the grim clutching of financial papers. And really – Faith, Hope and Charity?
1-HOPE: It’s kind a nice not to have Faith around stealing my hair color. Do you think the mortician could die her hair red before the funeral? CHARITY: Probably but it would cost extra so forget it.
2-HOPE: DAMN! Why you so cheap???
CHARITY: That reminds me, why do blondes never date parakeets? CAUSE THEY CHEEP! Get it? HOPE: Not really.
CHARITY: Figures. Anyway. Don’t forget – we got tickets to see THE SHARP TOOTHED INSULT COMIC PROFESSOR show soon. HOPE: That’ll be fun!
There’s been enough of these two so far…two days of nothing to advance the story and maintain the momentum that the beginning brought us..fone, you introduced the other sisters…let’s not waste any more time with this and get going! My boredom levels are rising
Good advancement of the story. Hope is not at all calculating. She misses her murdered sister. Wishing to buy a car with a piece of her inheritance is not suspicious. Charity looks away from Hope as she says she wishes Faith was with them. She is already looking into ways to grow her inheritance. I see Charity as the suspicious one. Does she have a connection with Stokes? Time will tell. Hope had better hope she lives long enough for a joy ride or two.
I’m gonna say that buying some sort of car to avoid the subway, when there is a serial killer loose who just murdered your sister is not really frivolous spending.
We could buy five of these cars and have something left over – doesn’t sound like much of a fortune. Maybe Charity has reason to be careful of their money.
We are getting to know a little more about the surviving Brown sisters and their personalities, but not much of a plot progression is happening. This is like the early chapters of a vampire adventure, after we witness the first murder but before the vampire engages the rest of the cast….

Still doesn’t feel that much like mourning.
I’m actually a bit suspicious about them.

What’s so terrible about subways? Interacting with hoi polloi?

Ok, what does this have to do with the vampire storyline? Are they Dracula’s daughters?

They should have read “Richard Cory” in high school like I did.

In some cities, driving is far worse than the subway. It’s slower and parking is impossible.

Will Stokes show up at the service? Will he be “Faith’s favorite professor” or “Faith’s favorite uncle”?

LOL I just got through reading a mystery book featuring standard poodles (as opposed to minis & toys) whose names were Faith, Hope and Charity.

Hmm… I do believe this story line is starting to develop “legs”. (no pun intended) After the previous ones turned out to be “turkeys”.

So now we spin off into “Mary Worth” land. What’s happened to the comics? We’ve had some good stories not long ago!
